An incredible debut album from a then-16-year-old Lorde. Some of the best singles of the early 2010s came off this album. My biggest gripe with this album is the song 400 Lux which could have been the best song on the album. 400 Lux lacks the punchiness in the instrumental that could have elevated the song.
The best rock album of all time. Every song is impactful and sounds distinct with top-notch vocals from Robert Plant and incredible performances from Bonham, Page, and John Paul Jones. Also, In The Light is one of the best songs ever created so that helps.
One of Kendrick Lamar's more underwhelming albums... With that being said it's still Kendrick Lamar so it's one of the best albums of the year.
If I fully wrote out my opinions on this album it would be multiple pages so I will make it short. The closest anyone to date has gotten to a perfect pop album.
From hard-hitting bangers to an ambient track that I could only describe as sounding like you are stuck in limbo, Sophie shows off her amazing versatility and attention to detail. Truly a once in a lifetime album that I'm sure will hold up as one of the best hyper-pop/bubble gum bass albums for years to come.
Deftones' efforts create one of, if not, the best nu-metal albums of all time. Every song evokes feelings that can only be achieved with amazing music. This album is a master class on blending genres to create a very unique album all while retaining what makes Deftones who they are.
