Album started off pretty weak until honey water happened, and wow, definitely the best song in their catalog.

Paprika into Be Sweet is chefs kiss. Unfortunately, the rest of the album is a little forgettable.

After listening to life beyond la I visited this one thinking there would be similar quality, i was wrong.

Be like a woman is great and all, but its hiding the true jewel of this album, dont take the night away

More cohesive and consistently better album than down colorful hill, but im afraid that medicine bottle low diffs all of these songs other than katy song.

Somehow an improvement from her last album I rated, First Love. Although I prefer her pop direction as opposed to her contemp r/b style, I still would love some more of her albums to revisit her debut sound. Regardless, this album is great, some of the songs are very similar to be fair, but that doesn't mean they aint bangers.

Im not gonna let anybody forget about paper cuts, that song is so underrated.

This is so solid, gives Maiden Voyage vibes which I loved. Components the title track was phenomenal, wish I could listen to that one for the first time again.

Not many people can take as long of a break as d'angelo did just to come back and release your best album of your catalog (in my personal opinion). black messiah also has a lot of similar sounds to Sade, which is something ive been looking for.

Not many songs that really blew me away, but goodness you cant deny ts slaps. SO groovy, such a nice and calming listen.

Goodness what a phenomenal album. Something about this album is indescribable as to why its so good, its got a flare that you don't see in many albums. Hands down the best hip hop album to ever grace the music scene. TPAB changes tone several times throughout its length, but it doesn't stray off of its main message and its absolutely phenomenal. Anybody who doesn't want to listen to this album because its hip hop is missing out on another level.

i really like this album, but bitch dont kill my vibe at 94 is wild, its terrible.
