at least Maid of honor was bad in a fun way, this was miserable to get through

This is the first time I’ve ever felt like drake has been 100% self aware. Like he knows that this is corny trashy nonsense but is fully leaning into it. The problem is that only works when you have the energy to back up the fun that you’re having witch Drake severely lacks on most of these songs.

It's got all the same issues as every 2020s Kanye album, just without the praising Hitler and convicted rapists bars. Is that really how low the bar is now? As long as he raps on soul samples and isn't a proud Nazi, the album is great? Half the songs genuinely don't even feel like songs; they are just a bunch of random ideas thrown at the wall.

Surprisingly Wayne's rapping is not the main problem here. When he wants to he does a very serviceable job, which is a vast improvement over his recent output. However, it has the same problem as revival, Wayne has access to the best producers and rappers alive, and instead you get you get Jelly Roll and some of the worst beats I have ever heard.
