for a long time i was bitter about their pivot in style. i loved 5SOS back in my college days. after youngblood i stopped listening. i'm older now and decided i'd give their newer music a fair chance rather than just continuing to be bitter that they changed and evolved as they grew as individuals and musicians.

enjoyed revisiting his first album, and there are some solid tracks here... i can see why people find it so comforting. portrait of ned is underrated imo. those lyrics cut me deep.
however. i will never listen to Green Eyes Pt. II ever again. what the hell was that.
so underrated. while there's no beating pink floyd's golden years, it really feels like people are so far up barrett and waters asses that they prevent themselves from enjoying this album for what it is - a beautifully contemplative album with some stellar guitar work. not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.
really not sure how to feel, but this feels incomplete. compared to his other work it's hard to listen to this and not feel disappointed
hit or miss, but still an enjoyable listen. sunflowers and lucid are my favourite
