A much more lyrically and musically mature project than her last. Well-produced with great vocals, but it lacks memorability.
Fav songs: "intro (end of the world)", "bye", "eternal sunshine", "we can't be friends (wait for your love)"
One of the best 80’s-cosplay projects of the 2020s (second only to Future Nostalgia). Well-produced (Max Martin effect) and cohesive. Conan manages the eccentric energy and powerful vocals needed for an album like this.
Fav songs: "Fainted Love", "Lonely Dancers", "Alley Rose", "Miss You", "Bourgeoisieses "
Extremely well-produced project with great vocals. It is a step up from Billie’s uncohesive sophomore album. Displays a commendable amount of musical and structural experimentation. Easily one of the best of 2024.
Fav songs: "CHIHIRO", "BIRDS OF A FEATHER", "L'AMORE DE MA VIE", "THE DINER"
Future Nostalgia (Vault Tracks) (Dua’s Version). It's the well-produced second coming of Dua’s sophomore album. Disappointed that it is lacking memorability and energy compared to its big sister.
Fav song: "End of an Era", "Houdini", "Training Season", "Maria"
Zayn finally puts a cohesive and well-thought-out project.! It's unoriginal but, at least, it's still catchy.
Fav songs: "What I Am", "My Woman", "How It Feels", "Stardust", "Concrete Kissess", "Something In The Water", "Fuchsia Sea"
TTLD (The Tortured Listener Department). There was a couple memorable pop singles but they were overshadowed by try-hard lyricism and heard-before production. #firejack
Fav songs: "Fortnight", "Guilt As Sin?", "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart", "Clara Bow"
I'm glad Faye decided to explore a more fun and whimsical side but glad she does not compromise on her style and production. Unfortunately it lacks a bit of cohesion.
Fav songs: "Thinking About You", ""But Not Kiss", Lego Ring", "Lifetime", "Underdressed at the Symphony", "Tttttime"
#saveye and #saveme from listening to this again. Unfortunately, like lately, the production is good but, like lately, lyricism is lacking.
Fav songs: "PAID", "BACK TO ME", "BURN", "FUK SUMM", "PROBLEMATIC"
It's an ‘ifykyk’ album. Definitely not for everyone but if it’s for you then it’s one of the best of 2024. Overall, it's a well-done hyper-pop, club album but lacks a cohesive thought and purpose. It would probably hit harder if I did cocaine.
Fav songs: "360", "Sympathy is a knife", "Von dutch", "Girl, so confusing", "Apple", "365"
It was well-produced but forgettable; the project could’ve cut down to 12 or 10 tracks for better album flow.
Fav songs: "Take A Bite", "A Cruel Affair", "Beaches", "This Is How It Went"
This was a painfully melancholic listen (in a good way). It is extremely cohesive and the production is just right and doesn’t overshadow vocals or lyrics. Lenker can easily compete with more mainstream indie and folk releases of 2020.
Fav songs: "two reverse", "anything", "forwards beckon return", "heavy focus", "half return", "dragon eyes"
Glow possesses the perfect low energy and jazzy vibes. APL's captivating vocals make a well-rounded indie pop album.
Fav songs: "Glow", "Heavy // Light As Air", "Driveby", "Velvet Mood", "Lovesick"
