This is good but it's nowhere near to being great, there are some really good features from quality artists on here, Waka Flocka namely had the best overall performances, but so much of the production sounds so repetitive, and the hooks get so annoying sometimes. This very easily could have pushed its way to a low 9 if not for the production being repetitive, the hooks annoying and it dragging on way too long, there is easily five or so tracks on here of filler that you could cut out and ... read more
Benny's rapping is great as usual, the features are on point too (my favourite was bruiser wolf), but Benny seems to be stuck in this trap for a while where he seemingly picks the most lackluster production to go with his hardcore voice, I hope Benny moves to harder production on his next project, the tracks produced by Daringer and Mike WiLL hit as always and I don't think there's a miss here, but they're nowhere near the pinnacle of Benny's best.
There are some really really high highs on this mixtape, but unfortunately the lows aren't very good, there is a lot of 808s & Heartbreak influence on here, but I don't think I'd be wrong to say that was my least favourite part. Frank's vocals are incredible as always, the production is mostly solid but I wasn't a fan of the sheer level of pop this mixtape had like strawberry swing, what made me love this project are the songs that frank does best, the neo-soul, the ... read more
I like this album, but I don't love it as much as I really really want to. Technically it's pretty solid, but the mixing makes a lot of songs unhearable. Ghais has a good pen though and a great ear for producing, and it's understandable why the mixing is like his, mixing is expensive and Ghais has talked about how his money ain't right yet. Just wish it was so he could make the music even better, it picks up at WarriorRaverPoetFreestyle.wav and it's lowest point is ... read more
Yasiin brings back everything I loved about Black On Both Sides & Black Star and more, this album is full of this hard-hitting abstract production but also these beautiful soul-jazz type beats. His verses and rhyme schemes are impeccable as always and they pair so nicely with the really carefully selected features as well as Yasiin's own singing performances which are always a highlight from his albums, songs like UMI Says or even the hook on Re: Definition. This is the third 10/10 ... read more
