This is good but it's nowhere near to being great, there are some really good features from quality artists on here, Waka Flocka namely had the best overall performances, but so much of the production sounds so repetitive, and the hooks get so annoying sometimes. This very easily could have pushed its way to a low 9 if not for the production being repetitive, the hooks annoying and it dragging on way too long, there is easily five or so tracks on here of filler that you could cut out and ... read more
Benny's rapping is great as usual, the features are on point too (my favourite was bruiser wolf), but Benny seems to be stuck in this trap for a while where he seemingly picks the most lackluster production to go with his hardcore voice, I hope Benny moves to harder production on his next project, the tracks produced by Daringer and Mike WiLL hit as always and I don't think there's a miss here, but they're nowhere near the pinnacle of Benny's best.
There are some really really high highs on this mixtape, but unfortunately the lows aren't very good, there is a lot of 808s & Heartbreak influence on here, but I don't think I'd be wrong to say that was my least favourite part. Frank's vocals are incredible as always, the production is mostly solid but I wasn't a fan of the sheer level of pop this mixtape had like strawberry swing, what made me love this project are the songs that frank does best, the neo-soul, the ... read more
I like this album, but I don't love it as much as I really really want to. Technically it's pretty solid, but the mixing makes a lot of songs unhearable. Ghais has a good pen though and a great ear for producing, and it's understandable why the mixing is like his, mixing is expensive and Ghais has talked about how his money ain't right yet. Just wish it was so he could make the music even better, it picks up at WarriorRaverPoetFreestyle.wav and it's lowest point is ... read more
Yasiin brings back everything I loved about Black On Both Sides & Black Star and more, this album is full of this hard-hitting abstract production but also these beautiful soul-jazz type beats. His verses and rhyme schemes are impeccable as always and they pair so nicely with the really carefully selected features as well as Yasiin's own singing performances which are always a highlight from his albums, songs like UMI Says or even the hook on Re: Definition. This is the third 10/10 ... read more
The main thought I have about this tape is that it's cool, it's not bad, it's not mind-blowing either, it's just cool, and I'm happy with that, BK has some funny bars, her voice is nice, the production is really good, sometimes the rapping off-beat can get a little grating but it's nothing major. Listening to P2 soon, and this has made me pretty excited for it.
This album is incredible, if Q had maintained the quality he did up to and including Prescription/Oxymoron, it would be perfect, there's a slight dip in quality and I'm not a huge fan of Break The Bank. However, this album has one of the most stacked feature lists I've ever seen, with A-listers and OGs sprinkled all over it, there really is everything on this, love songs, club bangers, introspection, storytelling, it's a complete package. His & Her Fiend is such an ... read more

This is a good album, but aside from the storytelling & production (which do a lot of heavy lifting), nothing here really astounds me, and the homophobia (more than usual for an early rap album) knocks some points off too.
This album has a serious consistency issue, most of the tracks have insane Pusha verses followed by the worst hooks you've ever heard, and then one of the only songs with an actually good hook, Let Me Love You, is the worst rapping performance from Pusha T I have ever heard, there are far too many features and I'm glad he moved to carefully selecting them. However, this album has incredible production, great writing and verses + it has Nosetalgia which is Kendrick's best verse ... read more
What a fucking experience, some of the best rapping I have ever heard, Freddie slides on these beats like he's Nas, the features are carefully selected and placed, Palmolive and Education are some of the best rap songs I've ever heard, so sad Montana got lost in the California fires.
For whatever reason this album isn't hugely sticking with me, I went into it with the expectation of far more energy cause of Piñata and You Only Die 1nce but clearly I was wrong, will definitely revisit soon. Otherwise, Freddie proves more and more he's one of the best ever, his flows are on point, The Alchemist is one of the greatest producers ever, Freddie's voice and delivery is infectious and he's an incredible lyricist.
Larry and 2 Chainz float over this beautiful summery production by The Alchemist, Larry's slow calm flows and melodies bring an aura to the songs that 2 Chainz contrasts with his more energetic performances, both of which compliment Al's summery soulful beats perfectly, there are slight issues which knock this down but those are mostly nitpicky. This albums is gonna hit even harder during summer and I'm definitely gonna do a RL then.
Consistently Benny proves he's one of the best, some of the hardest flows you'll ever hear, top tier lyricism especially on something like Survivor's Remorse, the hook game is incredibly solid, the features too (2 Chainz had the best feature), Benny also proves here that he does great on most types of production, because the trap beats by Harry Fraud here are incredible and Benny skates on them like nothing.
I don't really have huge thoughts about this album, it's my first Ka record, he's an incredible writer, one of the best I've ever heard, and his death really adds to how hard several sentiments on this album hit
I genuinely could not, gun to my head, think of a single criticism of this album, every musical component is perfect, and then the cohesion of the album overall completes it. One of the easiest 10/10s I've ever given.
I LOVE KENDRICK LAMAR ‼️‼️ C4 definitely definitely had some lowlights, some really low lights, but the highlights were awesome, they were goofy and wacky and fun and I don't think I would've loved it as much as I did if not for GNX being as fun as it is, my main criticism would be that he's trying to be a bit too much like Wayne, in terms of the cadence and the voice and it's awesome that he was able to find his own pocket eventually, and at the end of the day he ... read more
This album is on a different level, one of the best of the decade so far, the production is able to sound so different while maintaining a consistent sound, the heavy drums, all of it. I like the vocal effects used for Black Thought in this, "Because" with Joey Bada$$, Russ and Dylan Cartilage is insane, and the posthumous DOOM feature is incredible as always. Aquamarine has some of the best writing and flow I've ever heard in that 2nd verse. I think Strangers is the better posse ... read more
I really love this mixtape, Doechii is an incredible rapper and singer, the production is both ethereal and insanely tuff, but also I feel like we got a more even split between the rapping and singing, I think because of the sheer amount, the singing tracks often sounded very same-y, but standout tracks stood out for a reason, songs like Beverly Hills, Bullfrog, Catfish, Denial Is A River, and so a lot of the songs that sound the same just meshed together for me. Overall though it's ... read more
