Part 1 of the Mass Beatles Binge!
As a novice to the ways of the Beatles, I went into this completely blind. I'd only heard a few hits from them previously, and I didn't get all of the fuss, however, going into this album, I was blown away. After previously stating 'Hey how can these guys be the best of all time?' I feel I am starting to see where all those starry-eyed critics and fans are coming from. This album is a complete spectacle to the things that could be achieved back in the 60's, ... read more
Has some decent moments and *alright* production but overall the vocals just seem overwhelmed by the repetitive beats. There is some venturing into other genres which can be pretty compelling at times, but I think that the metal moments on this hit pretty hard. The really low octane beats on this are pretty bad, leaving lots to be desired

There is some traces of the old TOP however overall this is a huge improvement and its incredible to see what people can achieve if they work for it
An incredible first half, beginning with the incredible 'Crumbling castle' and followed up by the great title tracks, however it loses me in the second half. I love the songs, but if you asked me to name any lyrics or the beat, I would struggle a lot more to recall anything, unlike the first six tracks, which all really stuck with me. My initial score was 85, however I realised I was basing that on my thoughts on the first half without really considering the second.
Who'd have known that Australia has a great Psych Rock scene? Heavily influenced by bands such as King Gizzard and Oh Sees, PPC manage to carve out their own inventive and original sound with some incredible instrumental performances, as well as some great vocals from the frontman. A worthy, maybe even superior, follow up to the incredible High Visceral Part 1.
Fav Tracks:Dependant on Mary(BANGER!), Nek, Gurzle, Coffee, Move, Buzz, November
Least fav track: Egrophobia
BEST TRACKS: KARMA, UP IN FLAME, HYPNOTISE, RENDEVOUS, IF YOURE OVER ME, DON'T PANIC
WOSRT TRACKS: PREACHER, HALLELUJAH, ALL FOR YOU, HOWL,
I was underwhelmed by this album. I'd seen the critic scores, heard the praise (apart from the user scores) and I thought to myself 'Hey, you don't usually listen to mainstream stuff, but the ratings are good. You should check it out.' So I did. The first song intrigued me; I enjoyed the beat at the beginning and I thought the vocals were pretty good. ... read more
Imo the worst of the short Kanye produced album. Though it does have its moments and the production can be impressive, I just didn't particularly enjoy it.
Awesome post punk album from yet another great 2000s band from NYC (See: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Strokes, etc.) Interpol blend industrial and punk with clear Joy Division influences in a great display of what atmosphere can be created through an album. Top 5 2002
TOP TRACKS: BROKEN, TO BINGE, ON MELONCHOLLY HILL, SOME KIND OF NATURE, PLASTIC BEACH, RHINESTONE EYES, STYLO
No bad tracks, just nothing exceptionally good. Albarn should have taken more time on the album.
An incredibly satisfying single from a great album. This really shows Superorganism at their best and shows what they are capable of making.
