Felt like I have watched a movie. Basically just a masterclass in storytelling
A decent single. The best out of all 3, but very generic
70 ==> 55
Edit: the worst easily
This album is very incosistent. I could try to do a long review on this album, but I am not going to do so. I'm just gonna say that it works just as every other Linkin Park album: the heavier the song the better it sounds. You could just call this release collection of tracks resembling all LP eras that. There is really not much things that are different on this release (except for vocals ofc). The only track that has really stood out for me is "Casualty". It sounds fresh ... read more
Fun and hard. Sounds like if TDEP made an album that was more focused on metalcore aspects. At its very best, this record delivers a hard hitting sound that is a little different from other modern metalcore or mathcore bands. This album becomes a bit predictable towards the middle, which is by far the weakest part of this whole project. Gladly, it restores the momentum in the end and closes with two great tracks.

I always thought of Converge as a metalcore band that was borderline grindocre, at least heaviness wise. That being said, this is my first grindcore album ever. I am happy to report that Agoraphobic Nosebleed's side was decent. It contained everything that I expected from a grindcore record: batshit insane vocals, crazy fast guitar riffs and a psycho on the drums. What comes to Converge, their side was very diverse. There were a lot of experiments with sound that made this record stand out ... read more
This is their first thoughtful project. Idk what happened to the band in that 2 year period between this and their previous album, but this definitely impacted the songwriting for the better. Songs finally have a designated theme that can resonate with people from different age categories. However, the consistency of this album harms the experience a lot. The middle is the weakest part of the album. The songs really lack the attitude that the first two tracks gave off. Yet, the title track ... read more
The instrumentals here hit hard as fuck, but the awfulness of the mix on the vocals heavily drops the enjoyability of this listen. However, I would actually say this is a decent start to a discog dive, since I was really invested in this listen. I really wish the mix on their next albums is better, cause it is the only thing holding this album down.
