JUST WOW, the fast songs on this record are almost perfect meanwhile the ballads like coffee, kaleidoscope, picture you (which are NOT bad) feel so out of place and doesn't seem to really belong on a record with dancey tracks. it is a quite good written album for a debut, and i believe anyone can easily get into this project unless you hate fun! so excited to see what she will bring on her sophomore album, so far good, luck babe!, subway and read & make out make me believe its already ... read more

MAGNUM OPUS. this is the most lana del rey album to date, its like she pour all of her soul into a paper and microphone and turned it into work of art. fingertips and a&w very much represent in what i said. a timeless classic

beside the singles this album is not good... all the nostalgia around it makes me appreciate it sometimes because of how iconic this era was and how memorable the singles are

its cute for a debut but i really get lost in the 2nd half of the album beside a few tracks, i do think its quite overhated by the critics at the time it was new because its a solid project.

possibly her best album but still not very good which is common in katy's case.

this album is really not that good considering many dated unreleased demo tracks, cheesy lyrics in songs like text book, bbs, beautiful, violets for roses, arcadia etc, and that very unnecessary interlude which really made the album not that cohesive but whatsoever this album will always hold a special place in my heart cus of the time when it was released, only real ones get why.

overhated album bc of allegations, but at the same time not that good

such a overrated album. most of songs sound the same and i gave this album like 347829 chances. it has its high which are fine and lows which are just unlistenable. i wanna be yours is really THAT song tho
