No one should have to go through something so tragic in life. I hope all of you stay safe and appreciate the people who love you. Hug your friends and family. Life is temporary which is why it's important to make the most out of it. Rest in peace to Phil's wife. Rating this album would feel too weird and wrong. He didn't write this to prove something to us, he didn't write this for an evaluation on his art attempts. He wrote this as a therapeutic way to cope with pain. I hope he and his ... read more
Mr. Savages official 3rd solo studio album after almost 6 years. 21 Savage known for his cutthroat street lyrics and careless flows, pops off this year giving us exactly what to expect but with an unexpected twist. American Dream is scattered with ear catching choruses and classy samples. Not to mention the INSANE production (with the help of infamous Metro Boomin). This is a new turn for 21 comparatively to his 2018 record "I Am > Than I Was" which did contain a few choruses here ... read more
First official unofficial song from the concrete family and I'm already impressed. The energy each member brings is immaculate and adds it's own importance to the song. Between the smooth instrumental, the dynamic, and jumpy flows, I say this is my personal christmas anthem of the next few years. ... read more
No direction at all with this LP. Busta has so much trouble clashing well with his features, they all come off so awkward. Dababy, Thugga, Coi, hell even the song with Burna being prime examples of sounding forced. Not to mention the poor use of samples from MJ to Coolio. BUSTA IS TO NEVER DO DRILL AGAIN! I just don't know what he was going for on this album, it could just be him adopting the modern style of hip-hop (considering every direction he took) but even then it just isn't what anyone ... read more
Only two albums in and it seems BCNR has created a magnum opus. This is more than anyone can ask for in terms of orchestration, lyricism, song progression, you name it. This album has some of the most heavenly jazz/rock instrumentals mixed with some of the most heart-wrenching lyrics. This album is heartache, bittersweet, depressing and every one of these descriptions works in its favor. The lead singer has this deep voice which gives me Frank Sinatra mixed with Curt Smith from Tears for Fears ... read more
