I can't find the right word to begin this review, so i'll go very straight to the point.
Kendrick was in a particular moment in his career: he had just dropped Good Kid, MAAD City, an album that for any other rapper alive at the time (apart from Kanye, Jay-Z and Nas probably) would have been the Magnum opus, but there was feeling that he could do even more. He was already at the top of the game, and everybody was expecting, after a 3-year pause, another classic, but nobody knew what to expect ... read more
Gawd dayum this is good. This is easily the most complete rap album in the 2010's. The production is absolutely stunning on every track, and KDot's lyricism is always on point. He talks about his native city, Compton, painting vivid images of what he was going trough in that period of his life, expecially in The Art Of Peer Pressure, Swimming Pools (that is basically a trap song) and Sing About Me, I'm Dying Of Thirst. He develops even his more psichedelic style, with tracks like Money Trees ... read more
Kendrick LaGOAT's first LP
this is a very politically charged album, and Kendrick shows lots of rhyme ad flow ideas and also a lot of rage.
it's not its best, but it's still a great project.
Favourite tracks: ADHD, Rigamortus, Keysha's Song
Least favourite track: Tammy's Song

The New Kanye. And i actually love it. Yes, at points it's a little bit incostistent and sometimes cringy, but the production is GODLY, it embraces a completely different style from Yeezus wit a little more gospel-ish mood, and still nails it. And also the highs are too fucking high that the lows are overwhelmed by them. It's still a classic.

Ah yes, the Death Grips Kanye.
This was an unexpected turn in Kanye's discography, and i liked it. It's still the Kanye that we all know and love, but this album brings some of the noise music (like, as i said jokingly, Death Grips or Flying Lotus) in his repertoire.

Hell this thing is mid. *Fellas* in Paris is a BANGER, and so is Otis, and Church In The Wild is so good, but the majority of the tracklist are fillers. It's not bad, but for a collaboration between the two greatest figures in Hip Hop at the time, this is very disappointing. They weren't caring much, and it's sad, because we could have truly witnessed a classic, but they settled to do a mediocre victory lap album.

I remember listening to this for the first time, one year ago. i was just started listening seriously to music. This album was my first serious approach to music, and it's still incredible to this day. It's not perfect, but there is something about it that i can't get by trying to judge impartially. Everything on this thing (and yes, even Blame Game) slaps and it's important for me. I could talk hours about how perfect of a track Runaway is, or about the Bon Iver features and productions are ... read more
A li'l bit overrated in my opinion, but still a good album. This defined an entired genre of rap music. We would have never had Juice WRLD, Trippie Redd, XXX, Tjay, hell maybe even the singing Drake, rappers that i don't necessarily like, but that were and are big in the industry and helped and influenced a lot of us. Having said that, this album feels often repetitive, obsessed and too depressed, and the production isn't nearly as good as the ones on Kanye's previous three albums. But i won't ... read more

For a long time for me this album wasn't incredible, It was pretty good but i have considered it the "most overrated" in Kanye's discog for some time, but recently i changed my mind. It's quite a different style from CDROP and LREG, but i was very surprised to see that this album is this much lower rated than both of them on this website. Drunk and Hot Girls isn't very good i guess, but for me the rest is incredible. this project has an unique vibe for me, ... read more

This album is incredibly outstanding. It's CDROP's perfect continuation, and (unpopular opinion) more consistent and has far higher highs. has some of the best songs on Ye's discograpy. It's just incredible that all of the 21 tracks on here are incredible in their way, and this project is slowly growing on me, becoming my personal Kanye's favourite album.
Favourite tracks: ROSES, Touch The Sky, Gold Digger, DFSL, Heard'Em say, Major
Least favourite track: none

Kanye's first full-length is in my opinion a top 3 debut albums in hip hop history. this is the "straight for the goal Kanye", the "more classic hip hop-ish" Kanye, and this is overall a great "classic hip hop" album, with great diversity in beats, great rapping and lyricism by Kanye.
Favourite Tracks: Jesus Walks, Two Words, All Falls Down, Trough The Wire
Least Favourite Track: School Spirit
The bar for the third full-length album of the so called "2nd best rapper in Dreamville" was set very high. Everyone, including me, was hyped, expecially after his various features this year like the one on Mike Dime's HOME.
I was expecting a great album, but i wasn't expecting THIS. JID was outstanding, from beginning to end. from the absurd flows and beat changes in Raydar, the single Dance Now that has the bops and hypes me THE FUCK UP, the incredible features by Earthgang, 21, ... read more
