Shambolics - Dreams, Schemes & Young Teams
85

So far, one of my favorite rock albums of the year. It's energetic and keeps that energy through it's crunchy riffs and catchy choruses. Give this a listen if you have the time!

Vince Staples - Dark Times
65

First time listening to a Vince Staples project, and I was simultaneously impressed and let down. I was hoping to get that carefree, edge-of-insanity personality I had seen in interviews, but instead I got a surprisingly deep and dark album that left me wanting more to listen to. Something I will definitely have to revisit to get a better understanding of, maybe it will grow on me since my expectations are adjusted.

Wallows - Model
55

If white bread made indie pop, it would sound like this. Instrumentally, it is better than their previous album. However, Wallows has yet to top their debut when it comes to the lyrics and singing. I will forget half of these songs in a week.

"Pretty sure the hide your wife refers to an old viral video of a man named Antoine Dodson, "Hide yo kids and hide yo wife" extremely ironic considering the desperate attempt to stay relevant with the other slang"
