One of my favorite live albums
Halfway through the album (specifically track 6) I realized I was listening to the clean version. I thought it was hilarious that I couldn't tell, but I did switch over to the explicit version... For 2 songs, until I hit the Fivio Foreign track and I realized this was way, way worse. The clean version fits the vibe of a white kid way out of his depth way better, like he is making a YouTube parody back in 2008 that he can show his mom. The explicit version sounds broken and shockingly tone deaf. ... read more
Revisited this recently, and was pleased to find that it still hits hard in 2024. This album seems to be the most replayable Taylor LP, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
This album is what the haters say every album after Native sounds like: Generic, Soulless, and Empty. The song writing is some of Ryan's worst, and his voice can only do so much work. Skip.

After underwhelming singles, I was hoping the deep cuts would make up for it. I was mostly right, but all together this album feels like a snappy yet somewhat sloppy sophomore slump (and considering the situations surrounding this album release, I am not at all shocked). Hopefully Album 3 will be the return to form Dallon needs, because I don't know if I can handle another GLOOM DIVISION
19 writers, 12 produces, and a film crew... yet no one said anything about the line "Have you ever fucking cried in a limousine?"
Noah's best album to date, with a perfect blend of poppy upbeat tracks and down to earth folky slow songs.
This album paints such a vivid and raw portrait of her life, including themes of sexual violence, diversity, sexism, self-love, and religion, all while creating a vast soundscape that can elevates her powerful vocals. This is a project that improves both as it goes on and upon multiple relistens. Adam's Ribs, Wolves, My Ego Dies at the End, and Make You Proud all brought me to tears. This was the best album of 2022, and I keep it in constant rotation to this day.
