Listening to this got me so full of energy - it is pure aggression, 13 minutes of unrelenting heaviness and anger. Some of the riffs are outstanding and made me feel like punching a hole in the nearest wall. Super cool sound, will check out more grindcore from these guys and others in future.
Finally got around to this. The album is what I expected from this group after hearing 'Devil Music.' I don't think this release really lives up to that album but it does bring the energy and aggression that featured heavily on it. There are only a handful of songs here that I feel live up to the quality of Bilmuri's last album. Everything is very catchy, well-executed pop-rock but the moments that ascend beyond this are few and far between. That being said, I enjoyed every song to a degree; the songwriting is good and works very well but it lacks that something special at times. As suggested by the name of the first track, this album is cold, icy and aside from that, utterly evil. The incredibly raw production throughout, as well as the repetitive nature of the instrumentation create an overwhelming atmosphere of pure menace. This is broken up at times by quieter passages of guitar and ambient noise which really helps to prevent the sounds from getting too stale.
