The College Dropout
Kanye's debut album, transitioning from an incredible producer to a standout producer-rapper.
A true breath of fresh air.
10/10.
After Hours isn’t a bad album, but it feels hollow. There are plenty of words, but nothing really being said. I still don’t like that most of his songs revolve around sex, drugs, or both, and that they all end up sounding the same. The production is nice, and I really liked some songs, but it’s nothing special. 7/10.
Beauty Behind the Madness is (sadly) still ain't a lvl up. It’s inconsistent and, once again, feels like a nothing burger.
It’s basically Trilogy and Kiss Land with a pop filter slapped on. Can't really say anything about it, its quite boring.
Kanye’s beat on Tell Your Friends was awesome, easily one of the album’s highlights.
Still, I’ll probably never revisit this one. 6/10.
You ain't MJ.
