Slayyyter - WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA
89

HOLY SHIT! THIS ALBUM IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE! Super heavy and aggressive electronic beats and great vocals and lyrics. This album is quite consistent and the 7 track run at the beginning is crazy. Some stand outs include BEAT UP CHANEL$ which is absolutely incredible and super entertaining, a really vulgar and intense song with a great chorus. There's also DANCE... which is an opener like 21st Century Schizoid Man, it really feels different from the rest of the project but in a great way. A ... read more

The Beach Boys - Wouldn't It Be Nice / God Only Knows

Two of the most incredible and beautiful pop songs on the same single is crazy work.

Yes - Close to the Edge

One of the most beautiful, influential, and essential prog albums of all time. Truly a masterpiece and deserves all the praise it has.

Kanye West - The College Dropout
98

The College Dropout is definitely one of the best and most influential albums in the genre of hip-hop. This album showed incredible talent from Kanye for a first album.

This project is filled to the brim with great features who have great performances. This album is quite fun and humorous, and it talks about the flaws and the education system and struggling in class, in which is not usual topics talked about in hip-hop or music alone. The amount of interludes on this project is astounding, ... read more

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
98

Overall, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band is a very consistent and all around great project introducing their most psychedelic act yet. It has a lot of hits, and absolutely no misses or skips whatsoever and it is a unique and lush sound that the band has always been good at at its largest. The album doesn't really have a stand out track particularly... until A Day In The Life comes on and your mind is blown. That song is quite indescribable, but whatever it is, it is ... read more

Derek and The Dominos - Layla

One of my favorite songs of all time. Iconic and incredible guitar riff, and a mind blowing second half led by piano. Incredible song, and a highlight of the 70's.

A$AP Rocky - PUNK ROCKY
85

A very interesting direction for A$AP Rocky going into post-punk revival and psychedelic pop music aside from his main rap shtick. I don't have much knowledge of his music or am really a fan considering I've hardly heard any of his stuff, but if all the songs on Don't Be Dumb are this good, we have a good album on our hands.

yamaha - without a choice in the first place, crystallized in time

I didn't even listen to this album and I don't want to. Faking your death for money and people listening to your album is terrible. What a shitty person you are.

The Beatles - Abbey Road

ABSOLUTELY LIFECHANGING
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I've liked this album for a very long time since I first listened to it about a month. It's awesome, it's fun, it's experimental, it's influential, and it's definitely beyond it's time. I think this album is great, but nothing more than great. Songs like Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Sun King, Mean Mr Mustard, and Polythene ... read more

Emily Montes - Emily Montes

This beautiful piece of work is so incredible, it might even rival To Pimp a Butterfly as the best rap album of all time. 10/10, no skips, highly recommend.

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl
27

"Every joke's just trolling and memes" and "His love was the key that opened my thighs" are only two of the lines from this project, which even made Swifties angry.

Now, I've been on the other world of Taylor's music for a long time, I've always thought her music was just plain and generic, and really just not for me. I've even checked out her most critically acclaimed, All Too Well, and I wasn't very intriguing. I thought it was fine, but ... read more

Ed Sheeran - Play

It's Ed Sheeran, what did you really expect?

Going in to this album, I got a little excited to listen because I've always had a soft spot for Ed's music, even knowing the music is plain and formulaic. Plus, singles like A Little More (an actually enjoyable track with good lyrics and good production) and Old Phone made me think Ed could make an actually decent project; they both had soul and seemed like there was genuine heart put into them. And boy was I wrong. What I got boring ... read more

twenty one pilots - Breach: Digital Remains

Drag Path might be the greatest song they've ever made. Wtf did it not get added to the album?

Maruja - Pain to Power
89

Just as I thought Vanisher couldn't be beat for AOTY, I was wrong. Maruja comes swooping in just defeating Quadeca for AOTY and for one of my favorite albums of all time. And Maruja beat Vanisher, the album they were featured in, multiple times.

Pain to Power is a politically aggressive, perfect genre fusing masterpiece, with a deep, compelling storyline hidden under the manic jazz, punk, rap mess this album is. And I fucking love it.

Bloodsport swoops us right in from the start, ... read more

The Smashing Pumpkins - Chrome Jets

Boring, plain rock music with nothing to say for its self. The instruments sound good, but leaning a little bit into truck commercial territory though, just a little though. Billy's vocals though, man, wtf?

Gorillaz - The Happy Dictator
95

Holy shit! We are so back! The hype is real!!!!

twenty one pilots - Breach

Finally, my most hyped project for the year, Breach, has released. Is it a great project? Hell yeah. Is it the next Trench? No, not really.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The album opens us back in the world of Trench, and back into Dema for a final spectacular closer to duo's ever stellar story. The narrative ends with Clancy defeating Nico once and for all, and the end has come. Rather than the story, the ... read more

The Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream

The Smashing Pumpkins- an iconic alt rock band filled with many great songs, and two albums considered in the best of all time, and one of them is this, Siamese Dream. I've liked the band for a long time and have fell in love with songs like 1979, Cherub Rock, Bullet With Butterfly Wings, Today, Zero, Tonight, Tonight, and my personal favorite from them, Mayonaise. But, in all this time, I've never listened to an album of theirs' front to back until today.

This album takes on a ... read more
