This is the last Mitski album I have to review as of now. It took so long because I genuinely struggled to rank it alongside her other albums. This album has a lot of songs that personally are not my favorite, so if I was ranking based on my song rankings averaged, this would probably be on the lower end of my MItski album rankings and my rating would be much lower. But it just felt wrong. I'm gonna be honest, if I had rated this the same month it came out I probably would have given it ... read more
Disappointed to see this has a yellow score but not surprised based on the overblown hate train music fans gave this movie because they were mad about it topping charts. People on this site tend to aggressively hate anything K-Pop related in general too.
I loved the movie and a worried some of the songs are gonna end up on my Spotify Wrapped. Every single Huntrix song is so catchy, I even really liked Your Idol. I will not lie I never wanna hear Soda Pop again, but the goal was to make ... read more
MCR is gonna kill me at this rate. New MCR music in the 2020s, and a deluxe edition for my favorite album of all time, yet I still crave more. I want MCR5.
Anyway, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge is my favorite album of all time. My review on it I wrote here is dogshit and I need to rewrite it, but I adore this album. This version is cool to have and listen to on occasion. It allows you to pick up on background sound effects, screams, and instruments you didn't pick up on before. But I fear ... read more
Hm... I don't know if I'd say I'm disappointed because as much as I love individual tracks from Kesha, I've never found her *albums* to be particularly great. (I have not listened to Gag Order AT ALL. I've heard great things about it though.) I don't find most of it to be HORRIBLE, with a few exceptions like Yippee-Ki-Yay (sounds like something I would have been forced to listen to in elementary school.) This album is just kinda whatever.
Whereas Animal and ... read more
This album is overall just decent (Lemme Get That is straight ass though). All the hits like Umbrella, Don't Stop the Music, etc. are really good but they're significantly better than the rest of the album. I think she should have spread those songs out more. Most of the good songs are at the very start which makes the second half feel worse than it really is.
I wrote a really long review for this album but my computer crashed and it got deleted so I'm not rewriting it!

I've never been a big fan of Sabrina Carpenter's music, but I did get the appeal. However, her songs are starting to sound very formulaic and similar the more I hear from her. This sounds like Please Please Please's even more mid cousin. And I know the "Is it stupid, or is it slow?" part is intentionally patronizing, but the tone of voice is mildly infuriating to listen to. I can't get behind this at all.
