$uicideboy$ - Sing Me a Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation

God, the boys peaked with this one. I always preferred their earlier music, and their momentum really seemed to slow down in recent years but this album completely reinvigorated their sound, in my opinion. The production is simply stellar; it has that Memphis / phonk vibe of their earlier EPs, but refined, mastered and more beautiful. Some of the samples on this record are simply fucking awesome, especially the biggie and super Mario world ones. I love the lyricism as well, and i think this is ... read more
BROCKHAMPTON - SATURATION III

SATURATION III Expands even further on the sound SATURATION II develops, and i will claim it perfects it. Every single song hits hard, whether it perfecting on the poppy spark in a bottle the initial SATURATION records showcased, smoothing out the harder rap songs that were not commonplace on the prior records, or introducing entirely new and experimental sounds, as SISTER does. The album's short runtime is catchy, erratic but so, so fun. The album is such a joy to listen to front to back and ... read more
Drake & 21 Savage - Her Loss

Her Loss brings us the Drake that we've been missing for quite some time now - Hungry, braggadocios and loud. It's the type of album me as a fan has been hungry for since 2015's If You're Reading This It's Too Late. The beats on this project for the most part are all really solid, memorable and give off good Drake vibes. On BS, Privileged Rappers and Pussy and Millions all have very good instrumentals that make the song memorable. The slower and more melodic cuts aren't bad either, with Hours ... read more
BROCKHAMPTON - SATURATION II

SATURATION II offers more of the creative and unique vibes seen on the first in the trilogy, but even more refined, even more carefully crafted and with more explosive, fun energy. The bangers on this album are louder and more exciting than the first installment, with each boy giving off raw energy and sounding enthusiastic with their delivery. JUNKY Has some of the group's best rapping verses to date, and SWEET and GUMMY are two of their smoothest and most repayable songs. The instrumentals on ... read more
Joji - SMITHEREENS

Joji's third project consists of all too familiar beautiful ballads. The first disc of the album is honestly filled with some of the best songs I've heard this year. The beautiful "Glimpse of us" gave me huge excitement for the record when I heard it for the first time, with it's gorgeous and smooth piano and sombre lyrics. Dissolve is also one of my favourite songs of the entire year, as a sucker for pretty guitar progressions this one made me smile big.

The second disc however, ... read more
