This debut is awesome, honestly I want to rate it higher but I think the overabundance of skits drags it down a bit, almost every song is amazing except cum on everybody which is just alright.
Edit:
This album has grown on me like crazy, I at first found a lot of the lyrics stupid and childish, but as I did more research and what GC2 was about started to make more sense, so did the album as a whole. A lot of the lyrics are there to make "slim shady" seem out of touch so that em can leave that part of his career behind. idk i didnt rlly find it corny and i wish this site didnt have a bunch of people flooding the reviews with 0 scores seconds after it released, but ... read more
Well its his best album, but not my favorite. Everything here flows together perfectly, but this also starts an era of Earl I'm not as crazy about. The slurred lazy delivery goes well with this album because of what it's trying to represent. Nowadays it feels like he's doing it out of principle, which isn't bad... but I want variety, like on IDLSIDGO. Also this is more of a me problem but I find myself getting more confused with this era of Earl, like idk what he's talking about, this will ... read more
possibly one of my favorite earl songs. the way he flows over this noisy melancholic piano is amazing. Both artists deliver greatly on this track.
A lot of pretty uninspired beats here, but still pretty good. I think Earl should go back to making his own beats because ever since SRS something has been off about the quality of his music.
This mixtape really deserves more credit. The production here is for the most part pretty good especially on the intro and outro tracks. The lyrics havent all aged the best, but for the most part theyre interestingly edgy if you know what I mean. and ASSMILK DUDE ASSMILK shows off the early talent of earl sweatshirt and is the first of the many great collabs between tyler and earl, i still really wish we got a song from them in their 2015 eras, but its alright.
One of my favorite Tyler projects and really just foreshadowed the future success of his career. Rusty is one of my favorite Tyler songs
Smooth criminal is one of my favorite Michael Jackson songs and overall favorite songs of all time.
This album takes everything that made the slim shady lp good, perfects it, and then does more. I think overall the production is stronger and the songwriting is more consistently strong. Eminem also raps much angrier on this album, something that I think works to is albums advantage very well, it's like he really wants to prove himself.
My personal favorite eminem album, this shows Eminem at a very open and self-reflective state in his career. He feels like everything he does is being watched, and thats shown by the "show" aspect of the album. Overall great album, one of his best.
This is pretty good tbh. This album, while corny at times, is endearingly so, and really shows how much eminem had changed and developed at this point in his career. Also, there's just something about his voice in his album I really like.
One of the better albums hes released in a while. Theres quite a few songs that I like here but also quite a lot more that I don't or don't care for. Theres admittedly some pretty crappy flows here, but when he flows good he flows good. Songs like Marsh have one of my favorite flows but gets completely fucked by the chorus and a lot of the lines. while songs like Little Engine get ruined by the flow being not too great (the lyrics aren't amazing here, but there are quite a few lines I like and ... read more
only interesting thing about this album is how it shows eminems degradation as an artist. even the cover sucks ass.
List of shit:
-Stop start flow
-Eminem being fucking out of breath on walk on water, is he taking a shit bro?
-The way walk on water ends is so cringe
-"my communities gated"
-corny ass bars
*im on chloraseptic and im giving up on this list.
UPDATE: its finally over
