Music video of the year but also really fun song on its own! It sounds totally different from anything else he was releasing before this, and I like his previous releases too, but this hits so much more. Love when the bass gets turned way up on the choruses it works sooooo well. I know people complain a lot about how short songs are ruining music and all, but sometimes a song can be under 2 minutes and be the perfect length. Like this!

People are going to hate on this for lines such as saying the dance floor is dead and not realize that this is pretty clearly not meant to be taken as her literally saying dance music is dead in favor of rock... like I'm sure the artist who has spent most of the last decade making different variations of dance/electronic-leaning pop music thinks the genre is dead/dying she totally would say that. I've been wanting him to make a more dance-oriented song ever since he released "12 to 12" and this is just what I was looking for! I have long been a proponent of more dance pop being on the charts, and this will provide that in spades.

Now this is where its at! This is much more on par with the other songs of theirs I've heard other than SOS, I wish they had waited longer and pushed this to alt radio instead... would've been nice. This is something I'd love to hear on the radio, their version of pop rock/alt rock is quite nice! Excited to see where this band goes next.
Just saw that this was getting pushed to alt radio as their first radio single, and its pretty good! The song I knew from them before now was Holdin' on to You and I like that song more for sure but this is pretty solid! Not particularly special but its a good time.
