ik its part of shoegaze/noise pop but its just too noisy for me, i really like how it is turned down a bit in lochness and you can actually hear and understand her vocals more and it shoes how much potential she has

i also really like the intros to aprils-bloom, lochness, and especially skipping tiles

to start of lemme just say that i do not support wilbur in any way

around 2020 and 2021 this was my most played album, i loved it so much, especially losing face

listening to it again now its so nostalgic that i feel like i can’t rate it properly, i don’t know if i miss when i thought wilbur was a good person or if i just miss that whole era as a whole

pretty girls make graves was one of my fav songs for a while, the album as a whole is rlly good, imo miserable lie is the only skip, the rest is great and they all sound good together as well

so so so amazing, something abt her voice paired with the shoegazey math rock sounds is just so addicting and perfect

imo a lot of shoegaze can be way too noisy (think julie/slowdive), i get sometimes that’s the point of it with it being noise pop, but it just ends up sounding messy and incoherent, but this album (and all tokenainamae in general) masterfully balances the noisyness and make it sound sort of organized in a way, creating the perfect japanese math rock
