This is an amazing debut album. I’d heard the name Overpass for a while but never really listened in, and now I regret that. They have a lot of potential and can imagine they are great live. Looking forward to seeing them at Leeds Festival this summer
Really solid debut project from these guys. They are great live too and I think they have a bright future.
Highlights: Underrated, Ceiling
The last Beatles album I had to listen to and it did not disappoint. Considering everything that happened during the timing of recording this, it is incredible just how good the album is.
Highlights: Across The Universe, I Me Mine, Let It Be, I’ve Got A Feeling, The Long And Winding Road, Get Back
A great album with some amazing songs. Maybe it is just the genre that doesn't fully do it for me, but I do find it to be a bit overrated as I wouldn't personally put this in a list of the best albums ever made. Maybe it will grow on me after further listens.
Highlights: What's Going On, Right On, Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)
Goodness me this is TERRIBLE. Cheetah Print is the worst song I have ever listened to.
I was so close to giving this 100. So many worldies of songs on here and even the lesser known tracks are incredible. The whole album is a great listen from start to finish
Highlights: Bitter Sweet Symphony, The Rolling People, Space And Time, Weeping Willow, Lucky Man
Was going into this thinking it was going to be another mid, overhyped Indie album but was pleasantly surprised. His voice, the guitar, the songwriting is all great and there’s definitely a number of songs here that I will add to my playlist and listen to again.
Highlights: Homesick, Cocoon, Fallout, 26, Sidewinder, Tyrants
Another beautiful album from John. Not as raw but certainly more polished musically than Plastic Ono Band. He continues his vulnerability and introspection whilst also being hopeful. Deducted 20 rating points for the diss track on Paul.
Highlights: Imagine, Jealous Guy, How Do You Sleep?
Beautiful array of songs. So raw, so vulnerable, so emotional. Feels a bit like a therapy session recorded over some simple drum patterns and guitar. This is quite a step away from the great big production on songs that John was doing in the latter years of the Beatles but the minimalist production on this album is exactly what each of these songs needed and works well with the topics he sings about.
Highlights: Mother, Working Class Hero, Isolation, God
A really cool concept for an album and littered with bangers. The versatility on this album is great.
Highlights: 24, Lilly, Porno, No Cable, Digital
To release an album at a good enough level after Thriller was always gonna be difficult but MJ honestly did a good job nearly equalling it. He continued to knock out absolute all timers and to end your album with Dirty Diana and Smooth Criminal is absolutely ridiculous. That must be the best ending to an album I can think of. The only thing that lets it down is a pretty mediocre section in the middle. The songs aren’t bad, just pretty boring to me.

Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough surely has to be one of the best intros to an album, and then to follow that up with Rock with You? Insane. The middle part of the album is good but there’s definitely a drop in level, but then again those 2 songs are some of the best songs ever made so it might be a bit harsh to expect MJ to keep that level throughout.
Highlights: Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough, Rock with You, Workin’ Day and Night, Burn This Disco Out
She has some decent vocals (on H0w Sh0uld ! f33l she sounds a lot like Ye on 808s) and some of the production is pretty damn good. Obviously as a 12 yr old the lyrics are very surface level but that is to be expected. If she can sort the mixing and chill a lil bit on the drums, she could be a very good artist in the future.
Highlights: Th!s t!m3, W0ah
Think this album might be being overhyped a bit. I fw it but on first listen (so this opinion may change after further listens) I don't put this above other projects like A Great Chaos or even Dopamine. There is some incredible production on here so I am really excited to see what Slayr does in the future, potentially with a more concise project with less filler. I thought the rage genre was dropping off with 2 very sub par recent projects from Lone and Ken but this has definitely done ... read more
Didn’t really go into this expecting anything. I’ll listen to SAME SH!T again and leave the rest. The music just doesn’t hold my attention at all.
Not an album I think I would come back to but there are definitely some moments on here. The 3 track run with Liars Tale, FENIAN and Big Bad Mo was definitely my favourite section but the rest of the album didn't really click with me. Their sound isn't exactly something I would usually be gravitated towards but I love the political messaging in their music and in their albums there is always a few that I can vibe with.
Highlights: Liars Tale, FENIAN, Big Bad Mo
Getting Killed and Geese are a breath of fresh air. Wow, what an album. Those were my initial thoughts of this project, and with every relisten those thoughts just get reaffirmed even more. The sound in parts feels like a throwback to the 60s but also futuristic at the exact same time. Geese are the real deal and I am really excited to see what they release in the future because I can see them going down as one of the all time greats at this rate.
