Lana was alot more lively in this in a way that makes the album stick out more. There were alot of songs here I found really beautiful and peaceful, but at times there were a few tracks I felt were a bit boring and the album could go without (Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful Problems & God Bless America). Love was a really great opener and closing the album with Get Free was an amazing decision on Lana’s part. Not my personal favorite album as Ultraviolence is rn, but still a good album
Horrible vocals, okay production, and lyrics that are just plain eye rolls. Each song sounds like a demo that was supposed to be saved for a bigger male artist with vocals that actually give emotion, like Harry Styles (someone who Malcolm himself said he doesn’t wanna be). Album is just 37 minutes of an absolute nothing burger, also, how are you gonna let a feature perform better than you at your own song? Geniunely just boring as hell.
Starting off I really liked Cruel World, best track on the album which got my hopes up for the rest of the album and well! Vocally Lana is amazing and so is her production, but sometimes her choice in lyrics and line delivery makes it all very lackluster. One of most enjoyable albums I’ve listened to. Only weak track is “Sugar Talking” but even then it’s still pleasant to listen to. Don’t get the hate on this album. 💔
