Travis Scott - 4X4
45

oh wow this is bad . like actually so boring. i'm sorry

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
92

late review but WE GOT THE ALBUM SURPRISE DROP FROM KENDRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCKKKKKKK!!!!!!! probably the most fun kendrick album. with more listens, it gets immensely better. full of west coast bangers with some r&b cuts here and there. so many great songs, with ‘reincarnated’ being probably one of the kendrick’s best songs to date. not to say there aren’t any weird songs that didn’t click initially like ‘gnx’ (growing on me tho). standout tracks to ... read more

Lil Uzi Vert - Eternal Atake 2
25

Paars In The Mars is appallingly awful. this is awful.

Charli xcx - Brat and it's completely different but also still brat
60

Brat and it’s completely different but it’s worse. prior to listening, i didn’t think this would be as good as brat but i didn’t think it would be worse either. i am not one of the people who’ll say brat is AOTY but i admittedly still like it. this was a bit disappointing. ‘I might say something stupid featuring the 1975 & jon hopkins’ took away the charm of a song i didn’t even really like on the original record and somehow made it worse. ... read more

Cortex - Troupeau bleu
81

although released in 1975, troupeau bleu is like a breath of fresh air. it’s a funky and refreshing jazz record that often is under the radar. like many others, i admittedly only know this through MF DOOM sampling Huit octobre 1971. glad i found it!!!

Future - MIXTAPE PLUTO
48

i was gonna give this a 50 but i’ll take 2 points off just for plutoski. WHY’S HE WHINING BRO IT’S NOT HITTING. a lot of forgettable tracks and overall, really boring.

this mixtape in big 2024 is something…

Kanye West - Graduation
80

one of the first hip-hop albums i listened to! an album many would call a classic (i would too) that’s filled with bangers and hits. many would also call this overrated but it doesn’t take away the fact that this is great. too bad ‘drunk and hot girls’ and ‘barry bonds’ is on this because if they weren’t, this could be a solid 85-90. i really miss the old kanye.

The Weeknd - Dawn FM
76

thank you for 100 followers :)

i’m sorry but the track run of ‘starry eyes’ to ‘i heard you’re married’ is such a drag. opposite to after hours: the first half was great but the second half was a bit tedious. the interludes could’ve done a lot more. to praise it, the record’s aesthetic was done so beautifully and was immersive. it felt so cool listening! it had its moments but not as amazing as after hours. great tyler feature but i just ... read more

The Weeknd - Dancing In The Flames
63

disappointing and a very 'safe' song. from the weeknd especially.

julie - my anti-aircraft friend
77

sounds exactly what a julie album would sound like (not in a bad way, of course). although i still think that their ep "pushing daisies" is better, this is still good because of how uniquely julie sounds. i was anticipating this release, and while they delivered what i expected, i wish they exceeded it. but overall, an enjoyable project.

Playboi Carti - ALL RED
65

enjoyable song but i just can't get past the fact that he sounds EXACTLY like future.

Big Sean - Better Me Than You
55

i’m not a big big sean fan and i think that’s because of the way he raps. to explain: on this record, nothing ever really changes with his cadence or delivery. to me, he’s a rapper who’s just there. this album isn’t bad but it was a bit boring. it just really doesn’t hit. its got solid features and banger production but it still doesn’t do it for me. and that’s probably because this is a big sean album.

A$AP Rocky - Ruby Rosary
85

SO MUCH better than the two singles he previously released!!!! alc + rocky + cole was never gonna fail anyway. this got me excited for the album again

BAND-MAID - World Domination
75

i have no clue who recommended this to me but whoever you are, thank you!

i don’t have much to say except that this is a hard record. got me banging my head at every second. i have no idea what’s going on but it’s hard. i didn’t have a single track where i got even the slightest bit of boredom.

Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
90

arctic monkeys has a very special place in my heart. they were the band that i listened to religiously and were basically all i knew about music in general. yes, i did listen to music like everyone but they were the first artist whose entire discography i had ever listened to. they were essentially my gateway to listening to albums fully (although kendrick lamar was the one who made me appreciate them much more). reviewed this because i wanted to revisit my time with this band. the most high ... read more

Fimiguerrero - New World Order
65

necessarily, there isn’t a bad song on here. it’s enjoyable to listen to and it’s a good fimiguerrero mixtape. i just feel like he could do so much more. i hope he grows as an artist and in popularity too. IM THE MVP LIKE IM CURRY OR LEBRON

Doechii - Alligator Bites Never Heal
77

very fun and filled with doechii’s personality!! i wish she debuted an album because that would’ve been soooo good. i like the tracks on here but they’re so short :( she could’ve gone more in depth about the topics/ideas she covered. considering this is a mixtape though, it’s pretty good and her lyrcism is great!!!!!! tde never fails.

A$AP Rocky - Tailor Swif
65

very underwhelming especially for how long it’s been since his last album

Sabrina Carpenter - Short n' Sweet
60

it’s cute, fun, and catchy. i think my and other people’s expectations were too high because of the two hits that were released as singles for this album, ‘espresso’ and ‘please please please’. there’s nothing that really makes a mark here. nothing remarkable but nothing wrong with it either. the production and lyrics are just…. there. again, it’s an album that just sounds cute and that’s all there is to it.

OutKast - Stankonia
98

the most fun i’ve ever had listening to an album. i now get why outkast is such a celebrated group, even ‘til now. top tier lyricism with experimental sounds is probably the best combination ever. how can an album be so introspective and make you think but still maintain a light, humorous, and fun feel? big boi and andre 3000 are truly amazing artists that deserve more love (even if they do receive that already). if i want to nitpick on something here: i really don’t care for ... read more
