Unfortunately Don Toliver often sounds like a watered down version of Travis Scott in terms of production style. Which is obvious, as he’s signed to Cactus Jack. But still I hope for a time where Don Toliver carves his own lane, and this album is a step in the right direction.
Favorite tracks: TORE UP, BROTHER STONE, BANDIT
Least favorite: ATTITUDE
There definitely are good, hype moments on the album, but after the first leg it starts to drag. A bit bloated, but definitely not a flop.
Kanye and Kid Cudi come together to create KIDS SEE GHOSTS. It’s an album with quite a short runtime, but it makes it that much better. It’s short and sweet, not overstaying its welcome but also leaving the listener wanting more. Because this project really is a display of the innovative production Kanye is known for and the musical talent Cudi displays when teaming up with such a skilled producer / artist as Kanye.
Favorite tracks: Feel The Love, 4th Dimension.

CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST: The Estate Sale adds a good number of new tracks to what already was an incredible album. CMIYGL is already a great project, but the extra songs just make it that much better. A lot of the best tracks on CMIYGL come from The Estate Sale, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I’m happy we got them.
Favorite tracks: STUNTMAN; BOYFRIEND, GIRLFRIEND; SORRY NOT SORRY
Least favorite: None.
All in all, this is a fantastic addition to CMIYGL.
Another fantastic album by Tyler. Such a fun project, and an incredible listen. The production on every track is ear candy. Tyler does not disappoint, even after dropping objectively one of the best albums of the 2010s two years prior.
Favorite tracks: LEMONHEAD, WUSYANAME, JUGGERNAUT, and of course, SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE.
Least favorite: None.
In my opinion, SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE is one of the most beautiful songs Tyler has ever come out with, and is ... read more
To me one of the best albums of all time. Everything does exactly what it is meant to do, forming a masterpiece of a project. Danny Brown tells a haunting, disturbing, but deeply depressing story of drug abuse and his experience with it.
In my opinion, there isn’t a single miss on this album, every song is incredible. The sound on each track is diverse, the production is great.
It’s difficult to pick just a few favorite tracks, but a few standouts are Ain’t It Funny, ... read more
Still one of the most underrated artists in Hip-Hop. Keeping up with his streak of great albums, Dark Times will be one of the better albums of 2024. Front to back it’s consistently good, no flat out misses.
Favorite tracks: Black&Blue and Etouffée
Least favorite: Really no bad songs, but probably Justin
Thoroughly enjoyed this project, and I hope Vince gets more widespread recognition, because he deserves it. Another banger added to his discography.
I really enjoyed the almost erratic feel of listening to this project. Many different flavors of genres between the tracks. The production is very well done, and Gambino further shows what a versatile and multi-talented artist he is.
My favorite tracks include Lithonia, Real Love, and Yoshinoya.
The was no track I disliked strongly, but Talk My Shit would be the closest to it.
Good album all in all, I can’t complain. Although some tracks were less memorable than others, in the end it ... read more
Denzel is incapable of releasing bad projects. This new album goes in a completely different direction from his last album, Melt My Eyez See Your Future. Here we see Denzel in a hard-hitting Trap performance, in which he excels.
Really what stands out to me is the production. Every song has its own unique sound, reminiscent of the likes of Young Thug and what he brought to music. This is what to me puts it above other Trap albums.
I also remember seeing much criticism about the fact that a ... read more
At the time of its release, I would probably rank this as my favorite album of 2024 so far. It’s short and sweet, and Lupe really shows off his talent excellently. Every song is a vibe, and it’s really easy to listen to, so you can put it on at any time really.
Though the subject of this project supposedly is Amy Winehouse, I believe it is very much in the background, and Lupe doesn’t adhere strictly to telling this story, which is absolutely not a bad thing. In my opinion, ... read more
An incredibly creative project, it’s amazing to see two of the most talented artists in Hip-Hop, specifically Experimental Hip-Hop, collaborating on an album. And what comes out of it is truly a remarkable achievement.
Peggy as always does not disappoint in term of his production and the occasional rapping performance. And of course the one and only Danny Brown, who is on full force throughout the entire album, further showing why he is one of the GOATs of Underground / Experimental ... read more
Unironically my favorite project of all time. From start to finish, Tyler demonstrates a prowess for music creation, one upping his already fantastic last album, Flower Boy. Every single track to me is perfect, there is so much musical talent displayed throughout the album.
Although it’s hard to pick favorites, I would say NEW MAGIC WAND, PUPPET, and GONE, GONE / THANK YOU are amongst the absolute best. Obviously I can’t pick any least favorite track.
It’s not only the ... read more
