Porter has graduated from an anime girl to a certified pop star. Each song on this album is catchier than the last. I think Porter's greatest strength is emotion- so many emotions from nostalgia, to excitement or exasperation are captured so vividly on each song with his bottomless supply of cool synths and his guitar playing.

This is a great little electronic pop record from Zedd! His chord writing makes these songs a satisfying listen. Zedd's dynamic close to the ear production and some highlighted vocal features come together to make this quite enjoyable!

Albums to me are usually like a skill tree I have to slowly unlock as I beat the lower hanging fruit and then progressively get behind the idea of the album and appreciate it in a more nuanced way. Nurture is QUITE the opposite. The appeal of this album was instant for me. The RPG anime soundscape makes you want to bawl your eyes out for the sake of a better time.
