Her bar of quality is too high for this to not work but it kinda lacks any dramatic weight? I know it’s the thing to hate Jack Antonoff, but he had a way of complimenting Lordes emotions on Melodrama that made everything feel like life or death in a way that this just doesn’t. Lorde 4 is still gonna be AOTY tho

Profoundly corny and entertainingly camp! Don’t really get the backlash for this at all

I'm so intrigued by this upcoming album. I don't know what to make of this quite yet (mixed feelings on the overall mix but hopefully that'll change), but this is a heel turn that only someone as audacious as Miley Cyrus would even attempt. Her track record is spotty sure but it's so exciting to see what she does next cause you know it's going to be something completely new for her

Maybe this is too harsh on a first listen, but like Pitchfork is kinda right. Why does this lack any fire behind it, or stakes, or anything to make it special beyond Lucy's still great storytelling? Limerance & Lost Time tho you are exceptions, you are perfect.

I don't know how I've never rated this yet but this is peak (Non NFR) Lana. Many will not understand the vision but I do!!!!

WE'RE SO BACKKKKKKK

First half is her best work since Born This Way, second half is still decent but the blandest thing she’s ever put out (which by her standards still isn’t boring but still). Very good and a great showcase of her versatility but I’m not quite sure it comes together as well as her best albums do. Still, I won’t ever complain about a new Gaga album and Perfect Celebrity is one of her best post BTW songs

Her weakest lead single for sure, but it's way better than that chorus would lead you to believe it is. Still manifesting that Hello Kitty song ended up on the cutting room floor

Forever in awe of Gaga cleverly taking the shallowness of pop music and making that the explicit text in a way that never comes off as corny or insincere. Also helps that it’s one of the most well constructed and consistently catchy main pop girl debuts ever. Even the weaker tracks have a good hook or catchy lyric!
