From across all the great oceans, through different religious and political beliefs, regardless of gender, race, age, appearance etc. Virtually everyone can at least agree that this album is a masterpiece.
I hate people that hate Coldplay. I think that’s the worst attitude you can have towards an artist specially when that artist is just doing satisfying and hopeful music.
This album is soul healing and there’s nothing inherently wrong about liking it at all.
I heavily disagree with lots of opinions about this album so here comes my ranking of the songs with a bit of commentary:
30/ Savoy truffle (It seems this song isn’t that bad but it’s in a Beatles album so...)
29/ Birthday (Doesn’t hurt the album in any way but it’s disposable)
28/ Wild honey pie (disposable I’d say)
27/ Revolution 9 (I actually think this song is great and I continuously quote it but it’s a bit too long and it makes me paranoid)
26/ Piggies ... read more
I’d say that it’s slightly better than it’s predecessor but it’s still flawed as it gets pretty tiring by the end, specially in “somebody’s calling me”.
Still a fantastic album though
everyone hating on this album is either acting ironically or doesn’t get much attention at home
Listen to it and see why.
It frustrates me how many people here just don’t get it and how much real attention that is costing it. Trust me here, this album is something special, a lot of albums get 75-90 user scores but although that may make you doubt how much of your time FJM deserves I’m going to make it clear:
This is the best album of the 2010s
This is the second best album of all time:
It’s perfect, it’s just perfect.
Of course this album is absolutely disgusting, but I just don’t know how to explain the beauty of it, specially on tracks like “Sister Ray”.
I never had a successful relationship but it works just like if I had just ended one
