A couple of months ago, I decided to listen to Vulgar Display of Power out of curiosity and absolutely hated it. Ever since then, my opinion on Pantera has been fairly negative, so when I finally came around to listening to this one, I was shocked by how much I actually like.
Easily, the best part is the production. The band must have been on some form of drugs, because holy shit, is this album ballistic. Every song is super fast and aggressive, never taking a second to slow down, and it ... read more

After 8 years, Monch returned with his sophomore album. As one would expect, 8 years clearly had an effect on him as a rapper.
Monch’s crazy ass, super technical flow is replaced here by more in-depth lyricism and song concepts. Overall, I do appreciate this change; the loss of one of the best flows ever does suck, but Monch is a great lyricist, and I do think the songs here are more interesting than his debut (even if they aren’t better). ... read more
Fuck whoever took this off of Apple Music.
Bad Brains' debut is some of the zaniest Hardcore Punk ever. Every song on here manages to sit in this perfect midpoint between catchy and hardcore. The vocals are super distinctive, and the songwriting is solid. Even the Reggae tracks are pretty great.
My only issue is that you can’t really tell what they are saying without having the lyrics pulled up, also the mixing is a bit iffy.
Solid little EP from Freddie.
If these are the throwaways from whatever album he’s got coming next, we might get one of his best solo projects.

2112 is technically my first Rush album, but I had heard about half of Moving Pictures before coming into this one.
To get the most important song in the album out of the way first, the title track. To put it simply, the title track is incredible; 20 minutes of some of the most exhilarating Prog Rock ever. I love the fusion between Prog and Hard Rock, I love the storytelling aspects, and the vocals are really good too.
So, overall, the title track is ... read more
I love Big L, but this doesn’t do it for me.
Some songs on here are incredible, Platinum Plus, Deadly Combination, and Fall Back are all amazing songs, but outside of the highlights, this album kinda sounds like shit, mainly because of the beats.
Simply put, I dislike a lot of the beats on here; they interfere WAY too much with L’s rapping. Many of the beats are as loud as L is, and while they are definitely more ornate and technically “advanced” than the beats on ... read more

Shockingly great. This is still very clearly a Ghostface album, but I like the slight changes to his style here.
Firstly, the callobaraters are very different. Very few Wu members make appearances here; they are instead replaced by some guy named Trife Diseal. Trife generally does his thing well enough; he is outpaced by Ghostface on almost every track they share, but his inclusions are worthwhile.
The other major things that differentiated this one in ... read more
Shockingly mediocre
You’d think an mgk album in 2026 would be interesting to talk about, but no, this is just kinda whatever. The rappings fine, the lyrics are boring, and the beats are decent. Nothing here is absolutely horrible, but nothing really stands out. Wiz is also just fine on here; he slightly outperforms mgk, but just slightly.
Overall, mgk’s best album in a long time.
@WingsofGryfun, when I find you, I will do everything this song entails to you
What is this? Why is this? How is this? Who is this?
This song is so sexually explicit that it doesn't even register at certain points. His voice manages to be MORE obnoxious than Ironmouse's, and the rapping bits are also worse.
Overall, I’m at a loss for words.
If Spitta didn’t sound half asleep the whole time the album would be WAY better.
As the album currently stands, it’s still pretty decent, but it could have been better.
System of a Down’s worst album.
For legendary bands, worst albums usually fall under “this shit is unlistenable” or “meh.” Luckily for SOAD (and the listener), this is still pretty great.
Much of what makes SOAD a great band is still here: the political messaging, fantastic vocals, and really good playing. It’s just a little worse, mainly in the second half. The first half here is near flawless and is up there with the band's best work; the second ... read more
It’s not close to Boldy’s peaks as an artist, but it’s still pretty good.
Fantastic Alchemist beats and Boldy’s rapping is still solid. No skips either, but I do wish the album were longer.
Surprisingly great, especially considering the fact that it has 16 0 - 9 review scores.
Really well executed Cloud Rap. Everything that makes Fakemink an interesting artist is here and done really well. The beats are still amazing, Fakemink’s flow is still really good, and the album isn’t too long or short.
The only actual issue I have with it is the vocal effects he plays with. Sometimes they sound pretty good, but most of the time it’s super distracting.
And the new JPEGMAFIA album is really disappointing.
For one of the most interesting, creative, and unique artists in modern hip-hop, EXPERIMENTAL RAP feels like a poor attempt to use a formula Peggy has used before.
None of the ideas here is inherently bad, just most of them have already been done better (mainly on I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU). The rapping is subpar, the production noticeably is worse, and Peggy has seemingly become SIGNIFICANTLY less self-aware (he would have absolutely ... read more

Just some really well executed Emo music, idk what else to say really. The vocals are good, the instrumentation is solid, and I like the writing for the most part. Nothing here blew me away, but it’s all fairly enjoyable.
Shocked by how much I liked this.
Obviously, Numbers on the Board and Nostalgia are some of Pusha’s best songs, but every other song on here is still solid. Pusha experimenting with more accessible sounds was cool to see, and he performs super well over the entire album.
The only thing holding this back is its inconsistency. Yeah, no song here is bad, but they do all range in quality wildly.
This might be the most conflicted I’ve ever felt about a Nas album.
On the one hand, Nas sounds great (especially for someone who debuted 20+ years ago), and Hit-Boy’s beats are really good. On the other hand, these features are really distracting, and Nas still can't do Trap beats.
Overall, it’s better than it is worse, but it’s easily the worst of the King’s Disease trilogy.
Big K.R.I.T is one of those rappers who deserved so much more.
Easily, my favorite thing about Return of 4Eva is the writing. Big K.R.I.T is really good at writing from his perspective and making you feel what he has. The way he talks about religion, his family, or his life in general really helps you understand Krit as a person, which matters a lot for a project as introspective as this. I also really like how Krit can switch between production while still keeping the project cohesive. ... read more

Ehh?
You’d expect an album with a 16/100 and one of the most universally hated songs of the 2020s (Cry For Me) to be interesting, but no, this shit is so boring.
Some songs on here are definitely horrible. Gnarly might be the worst pop song ever, Meow has maybe the worst collection of lines ever in
