Definitely not a bad record, just that it really doesn't compare to any of their other albums. The instrumentation is still there, it's as captivating and interesting as their last album but the vocals just don't really do it for me. I feel like theres something that's lacking in the singing, maybe it's the lack of visceral emotion in comparison to Isaac Wood's singing, or the general indifference that I have with the lyricism on the album, but theres just this ... read more
It's pretty good, my issue with the prior two singles still stands but this one has some really nice melodies
Really well done, second track is great but the first track is a bit too long. I like the musical motifs in both but it does get a bit tiring near the end of the first song
Even for mathcore and sasscore standards, this fucking sucks. Like genuinely, theres NOTHING here, its that same fucking mathcore+sasscore formula that every shitty band does. There's 5-10 seconds of instrumentals, then dissonant riffs with aimless screaming for the remainder of the song. It's also only 4 minutes, which leaves 0 space for any actual development of these motifs.
It’s quite good, it gets a lil repetitive near the end but other than that it’s quite well done production wise and instrumentally
I mixed bag for sure, some songs are great, but others just kind of suck. Some samples also come off a bit annoying, like Operation Cyclone, but other than that this album is pretty good. Definitely prefer There Will Be No Super-Slave instead of this though, that album is much better.
Let’s get straight to the point, I’ll describe each song shortly and then explain why I don’t like it that much.
The album starts with an eight minute track that contains some pretty good harsh noise sections that periodically get ruined by what I can only infer as some extremely sped up sound, which then turn into some really ominous ambience towards the end. The formula is then repeated with the second track, a lot of sped up sounds and even more ambience, which ... read more
Tyler tones down the edginess and finally makes a competent record!
There’s really not much to say about this album, the narrative is eh, pretty good production, very consistent throughout, mostly an enjoyable listen. My only real gripe with this album is that to be honest the narrative is really hard to follow without searching up what happens, especially when there’s tracks like Domo23 which feel like they contribute nothing to the actual narrative and are just there to have more ... read more
Wow this is horrible. tepid and uninteresting lyrics and beat, absolutely useless feature that adds nothing, REALLLYYY boring chorus that’s somehow worse than “What Did I Miss?”. Genuinely just bad.
Wow this man has some potential, good record. Maybe I’ll write a whole review but I’m not sure yet. Either way, this project is definitely worth a listen, good features, good performance throughout and the run from track 10 to track 15 was super fun.
Mostly gave it a 75 due to the fact that this isn’t primarily my preferred style of music, but I’m still very happy that I found quite a hefty amount of substance in this project overall.
Good single, Im starting to consider listening to The Fragile because of it. I mean it's nothing shocking but still great, worth your time for sure.
Im sorry Jane, I like Revengseekerz quite a bit (like 70 to 80, pretty good project) but this is shit.
I’m really conflicted, the titular song “Windowlicker” is genuinely one of my favorite songs ever and I believe it’s a 10/10, but the others are just so alright, I can’t give this an 80 just because of one song can I? So I guess I’ll keep it unreviewed.
Absolutely amazing, literally my third most played song ever, almost got 300 plays on it.
