Really good release, the new Palaces is a bit better than the original one but the new Samurai is kinda alright, not bad but worse than the original, sometimes the singing is really unnecessary.
This is an insult to music as an art form and constitutes everything wrong with the modern music landscape.
This sounds like absolute shit, nothing good about it, bottom of the barrel slop with horrible mixing, lyrics, production, basically anything that makes music actually good is completely ruined. This “music” also has no artistic merit, there’s no meaning to this, it’s shallow, it’s horrible, and worst of all, it has no intention. Even bad projects have an ... read more
More bangers from Lucy Bedroque, jeez he don’t miss
Really good ep from the goat himself, I absolutely love the production on this album, it’s so glittery and pretty in the best way possible. I really can’t say much since it’s so fucking short, but it’s just an energetic burst of music, it feels like eating a spoonful of sugar and then running around, great shit.
Björk does everything she did in Debut, and just makes it better
This album (like many other Björk albums) really took quite a while to grow on me, her music is really unusual at times but when it clicks, it just does man.
This album is an amazingly bold and colorful genre blend that really brings out Björk true emotions and paints them in music. Everything from the mix between electronic music, Art pop, trip hop, and house was really well executed, nothing felt out of place, ... read more
The more I listen to this album the worse it gets, not joking.
I’m very perplexed with this album, one half of me likes it but the other just doesn’t. Like, there are a couple of really good songs that I agree sound great but some tracks just kind of fall short (mostly lyrically, but also sometimes they’re instrumentals are too boring or uninteresting). I’m gonna be honest, this album is teetering between 70 and the sixty range, I still can’t decide wether I like ... read more
Feels like one continuous 48 minute track that was cut in 7 to make it seem more like an album. The singing is great and the overall sound is very cohesive, it all fits very well, with the album just being long enough to leave you satisfied. The weird lyrics combined with the very unusual mix of metal genres really accentuate the quirkyness of this band. Overall I'd say it's a pretty good record, and one of King Gizzard's best in recent time.
Finished listening to this fully and honestly, this is hard to rate
Not because it’s bad, but due to the fact that this is quite literally minimalism but only utilizing sine waves (technically the genre is called onkyo), you can’t really rate it by sound alone, as there are many other factors like how it resonates with you, which vary with each person (I know those aspects also apply to most other music, but in a genre where the music is so simple, it plays a way bigger role).

Forks and plates hit together to make some of the best post-hardcore ever. Insanly harsh instrumentation and highly cynical lyricism, simple yet subtle hooks which just get better as the album progresses, and obviously insanely influential. This album is quite literally one of the most quintessential experimental records ever made and a cornerstone of most if not all noise rock.
This is really fucking good, basically all you would want from Drain Gang
Man, idk, I’d rather listen to terrifyer or world downfall, this just feels so shallow and the raw instrumentals and screaming don’t really make up for it (I might’ve gotten an aneurysm from this).
yeah, it’s pretty good, just the standard Kero Kero Bonito experience that everyone loves. They don’t really try anything new, it’s just good music. Though I do have to say, that 7 minute or something track was pretty good, I’m glad that Kero Kero Bonito knows how to handle progression in a way where it doesn’t stagnate, and I really liked that final message at the end of the song, really was a great closer for the track.
My first REAL harsh noise album (and a very divisive one at that).
I’m gonna be honest, I should’ve started with while you were out, but that cover art kind of just captivated me and so I chose this one.
There’s not really much to say that hasn’t been said, the walls of noise (people just call them walls) in the first song are kind of repetitive, but not that bad. The second track is a completely different story, I feel like by taking a different approach this album ... read more
McKinley Dixon is the A Tribe Called Quest of modern jazz rap. I mean just think of it, both make amazing music and are insanely consistent.
Anyways this new McKinley album is INCREDIBLE, he quite literally one ups himself on his prior album and makes ANOTHER lush and intricate piece of conscious rap. Everything from this album is fine-tuned to accommodate for the modern jazz rap landscape, and McKinley experiments with new flows and ideas that he hasn’t done before, which as a diehard ... read more
