I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT BRO I KNEW THEY FAKED THE FUCKING SUICIDE I WAS THINKING ABOUT IT ALL DAY, IT MADE SO MUCH SENSE. Firstly, the original review, as you know, it was deleted very quickly after the release came out, I have a theory that the original review was actually deleted intentionally, as to make his supposed “friend” appear more credible and believable. This was done super sloppily though, as the review of the supposed “friend” came out A DAY after this release, ... read more
nice song, cool melodies but nothing surprising
Che once again improves his music, as he still keeps his artistic integrity while upping the abrasiveness of each and every new release. This album provides us with a huge cluster of sporadic, loosely jointed tracks that while at first sounding similar, tend to differ quite a lot when listened to closely. The beats are all unique and interesting, with many of them being — in my opinion — considerably better than anything showcased in Rest In Bass. The buzzing synths, insane ... read more
Thank you @nintenzero for recommending me this album, as I’ve actually been meaning to listen to it for quite a while.
I first came across this album quite a few months ago (about in July or so) during the making of a playlist. To put it bluntly I was just recompiling the top vaporwave songs on RYM to listen to later on, something I commonly do to get a grasp of a genre and its general sound. I then came across this album, which wasn’t on Spotify (it quite bummed me out since I ... read more
Quite a bit disappointed if I’m going to be honest, I like a lot of SGP’s mixtapes but I’m just not feeling this one. I know this is one of the first really important mixtapes of his, as it showcases his idiosyncratic beats and unique production techniques but I quite dislike it. The beats are fine to be honest, they’re not astounding in my opinion but they suffice, my main gripe with this mixtape actually comes from SGP’s rapping. I find his rapping (and his ... read more
A pretty good dj mix for what it’s aiming to do. Many people argue that the mixing and bit crushed vocals stifle their enjoyment but I personally don’t mind. Would’ve preferred a switch up on sound though, as most tracks sound identical to each other. Luckily it doesn’t drag as it’s only about 15 minutes long so I guess it doesn’t really make the project any worse. Overall it’s a great dj mix, listen to it if you can, it’s pretty short and you may ... read more
An evermore expansive project that executes near perfection with the least possible input. The minimal use of mostly anything creates an atmosphere hard to replicate. Long droning tracks with simplistic synths and basic guitars form and fold the atmosphere as the project progresses. Long drawn out singing (which I assume comes from Joanne Robertson) soothe the listener and greatly compliment said instrumentals. the lyricism is simple yet effective, it doesn’t require much thought as is ... read more
Such a soothing yet vast project, you really can’t go wrong with Dean Blunt. This album showcases Deans ability to create pure atmosphere without the use of ornate instrumentation. The simple harmonies which compliment his endearing voice make this album feel rather personal and different for every listener. The lyricism is quite straightforward, which I enjoy as it makes it feel evermore personal than it would if he was using some convoluted strategy to hide what he wanted to say. ... read more
I was so bored when first listening to it almost a year ago that I literally forgot to rate it
I listened to this like a year ago and completely forgot to rate it. Nevertheless it’s a 10/10 fucking masterpiece
It's a flashy song, and even though I believe it lacks substance, it's still just dumb fun to listen to.
Wow, this is incredibly mediocre. Genuinely, what the fuck happened here? There is almost no new content, the new content that we did get is three extremely uninteresting tracks which don’t add nothing of substance to the album, and the new mixing is just downright bad. What the hell man? I was actually excited for this, thinking we would get something as fresh and experimental as the original STH but we basically just got three unreleased tracks which should’ve stayed unreleased.
Incredible instrumentals but god awful vocals. Seriously, it sounds like something from hello kitty suicide club, it is genuinely unbearable. I really wish i could like this more since the guitar playing and drumming is absolutely insane, but man the vocals suck so much it just makes this album torturous.
On a side note if anyone knows an album with similar instrumentals but actually enjoyable vocals please tell me, i'd gladly listen to it.
Theres really nothing of interest here, feels like it's being experimental just for the sake of it, no notable sections and its overall just a fruitless experience. Please listen to any other Yabujin project, this is seriously not worth your time.
