The title track and don’t let the light go out are really good but the rest of this is just painful to listen to. This sucks but now I appreciate Pray for the wicked and death of a bachelor more.
When I first heard this album, I listened to it all the time for months and months. Then it started to grow off me after time. But it’s been about a year since I last listened to this album and now I’m sure this is one of the greatest albums of all time.
Not everything is perfect though, like the last minute of so appalled (love the rest of that song though). I don’t like Hell of a Life, especially since it’s after runaway. I just think it would be way better if it ... read more

Worldwide Steppers just clicked and the second half is definitely growing on me. Also Rich Spirit isn’t as bad as I thought it was when it came out. Father Time is my favorite.
This is actually really good. Not what I would expect from 21st century Styx.
Favorite Songs: Mission to Mars, Radio Silence

Gets better every time
Favorite Songs:
1. All Along The Watchtower
2. Burning of the Midnight Lamp
3. Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)
4. Crosstown Traffic
5. House Burning Down
A slight improvement over Edge of the Century, but still not good. This album did not need to be an hour long.
I did not enjoy a single thing about this album. It’s not the worst album I’ve ever heard, but it’s probably the worst Styx album I’ve ever heard.
90 -> 70
I remember liking this a lot more when it came out last year. I still love My Own Souls Warning, Caution, and Imploding The Mirage but I don’t really like a lot of songs on the second half anymore.
This was probably my most anticipated album of 2020. I’ve been a huge fan since the 1981 EP. I was super excited because Leave Me Alone and Razzmatazz were some of my favorite songs of the year so far. Then New Invention came out and I was pretty underwhelmed but I still liked the song. I thought the same about Lights Go Down and I started to worry that the only good songs on here would be Leave Me Alone and Razzmatazz.
On the day the album came out I woke up super early so I could ... read more
So bad it’s good that it goes back to bad
I don’t think this is the worst album from their original run though. It’s pretty bad, but it’s way more entertaining than “Man of Miracles” or “The Serpent Is Rising”
In conclusion, it’s bad but in a good way
Just as good as The Grand Illusion
Favorite Tracks: Rockin the Paradise, Too Much Time On My Hands, The Best of Times, Half Penny Two Penny
I remember liking this a lot more when I first heard it two years ago. Still really good though.
Favorite Tracks: Lights, Borrowed Time
