A basic, bland, and highly commercialized revitalization of 2016-style trap/bass music sloppily mixed with contemporary EDM/trap styles. It's loud and aggressive festival music with no punch to it, rendering it annoying rather than hard-hitting. In its quieter, more melodic moments, those tracks are lethargic and equally unexciting.
I'm not a fan of ISOxo at all but considering that Knock2 is on this I was expecting more. Very disappointing coming from him.
Monstercat's "To Pimp a Butterfly", so to speak. A masterclass not only in production, but in soundscapes/worldbuilding, songwriting, and creativity, far ahead of anything the label has put out and likely will ever put out. Even being as highly regarded as it is it's still underrated, it's just that phenomenal.
One of the OG future bass / "love trap" songs. Holds up decently well, although probably not as exciting as it was in 2013.
Very disappointing for beastboi standards. I think it's a well made 2016-style hybrid trap/brostep track, but nothing to drive home.
