I've given this song quite a few relistens now, and while on the surface it's a nice and catchy earworm, I still can't help but feel like its a step back for quad who from 2021 to now has been very forward thinking with his music. It's not bad to be comfortable in your sound, but this feels too comfortable for someone like him.

This is exactly how I imagine some people felt with remakes like Silent Hill 2. The soul of the original has been ripped out in favor of a watered down and (according to Will himself, apparently) more "library friendly" version. I found this little EP while scrolling through friends house records' artists on bandcamp, and I'm glad I decided to listen! For the length, as short as it is, it has a lot of heart, though is definitely rough around the edges. Fortunately, that appeals to my taste very well! If you enjoy bedroom pop/indie folk, kind of similar to "cats in the cold" by mage tears, check this out!
"No Feeling" hit hardest considering it released shortly after I first finished playing Persona 3 Reload, if you know you know.
An instrumentally and sonically amazing album where unfortunately every glimpse of genius is met with a lacking vocal performance (that really does not vary much track to track) and generally uninteresting lyrics. Despite the vocals and lyrics that feel almost like a parody of itself, I do feel it's their best since their debut.
