Future Classics

Albums made in the 2020s I would consider classics and/or great introductions to their respective genres.

Playboi Carti - Whole Lotta Red
77
One of the most defining and influential albums in the 2020s. Created a whole new subgenre of hip-hop
JID - The Forever Story
90
Very good lyrical rap album. This is great for people who value lyricism as a core part of music
Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out
89
Amazing production from Pharell with great lyricism as well.
Lucy Bedroque - Fête de la Vanille
86
One of the best Digicore/Art pop albums I have heard. This is the new Imogen heap imo
Lil Yachty - Let's Start Here.
85
Great album for rap fans trying to expand their genre horizons. Yachty implements psychedelic rock very well here.
slayr - Half Blood (BloodLuxe)
88
This is one of the most creative and well done albums I have heard in a while, especially impressive for a person as young as slayr. This is a great introduction into both modern rage and digicore as it shares elements of both
Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
88
One of my favorite albums from Kendrick, and it's conscious and lyrical nature cements this as a classic for me.
Denzel Curry - Melt My Eyez See Your Future (The Extended Edition)
88
Soulful and very introspective. I love the emotional depth and vulnerability here
underscores - Wallsocket (Director's Cut)
86
Good indie rock album from underscores. Pretty solid conceptually as well
