50$??? Wow! What a deal!!!
Mr. Wise, you did not need to go so hard on the soundtrack for a monkey game. Glad he did anyways though. These tracks got me feeling like oog ๐ฆ oog oog ๐ oog. That is the only way to describe it.
Jacob Collier at his rawest form, just him and a piano. This allows him to not shoot himself in the foot with the weird production choices and genre blends that often ruin his songs.
Don't get me wrong—he has quite a few good songs, and I really like Djesse Vol. 2, but select songs from Djesse Vol. 3 and especially his most recent album, Djesse Vol. 4, are pretty abysmal. This is disappointing because I feel like if there was someone there to keep Jacob in check, we'd be getting some ... read more
This album mostly consists of acoustic guitar and singing in a language I don't really know. Both of those sound like a combination that would make for a really boring listen but wow, this is beautiful. Yes the presentation for a lot of the time is very bare, but it is quite special in that way.

This song just solidifies my belief that Adrianne Lenker is definitely one of the best songwriters alive. I cannot wait for the full album!
This album is really beautiful. I love the simple and stripped back approach to all of the instrumentals and I also really like the little bit of country flair occasionally thrown into the mix. After thoroughly enjoying these pretty sounding indie bops I decided to actually pay attention to the lyrics and now I have depression and do not wish to review any further๐.

Honestly this was probably my AOTY for 2023. There are almost 0 misses in this tracklist and while I don't think it is absolutely perfect it is pretty dang close. I thought about some other albums being my #1 but I find myself coming back to this one the most over any other album because it's just amazing. I'm not going to talk about every track right now but I'll highlight some of my favorites.
The beats on this thing are incredibly weird and left field, but they totally work! Peggy and Danny ... read more
