Jacob Collier at his rawest form, just him and a piano. This allows him to not shoot himself in the foot with the weird production choices and genre blends that often ruin his songs.
Don't get me wrong—he has quite a few good songs, and I really like Djesse Vol. 2, but select songs from Djesse Vol. 3 and especially his most recent album, Djesse Vol. 4, are pretty abysmal. This album mostly consists of acoustic guitar and singing in a language I don't really know. Both of those sound like a combination that would make for a really boring listen but wow, this is beautiful. Yes the presentation for a lot of the time is very bare, but it is quite special in that way.
