Firstly, I wanna say that this album is mastered and mixed BEAUTIFULLY. There's no doubt about that, Chloe sounds great. I think the weaker parts of this album are the lyrics. This album feels dated, as I don't see this being a timeless album. Her melodies and harmonies are beautiful, just want to reiterate that, but what is Chloe saying? I think this album shows a lot of her potential, and hopefully she can grow from this, but this album just feels underwhelming in terms of content.

The melodies and production are the highlight of this project for me. Jill is blessed to work with really good producers, but I found myself wondering during a couple moments if she made the most of these beats. Overall though, an enjoyable and recommended listen. Her range knows no bounds.
Amazing, and a great follow-up. Jill definitely avoided the sophomore slump.
A classic. Its been two years since I discovered this album and I've gone back to it weekly.
Personally I’m very unhappy with this song. It sounds beautifully, but my issue is the length, the timing, and the fact that it’s the lead single.
Lemme start by saying I love the content of the song and that it is very sonically pleasing. However, I have a gut feeling telling me that this should’ve been an album track where Chloe showed off a major vocal performance.
Personally, I think the song would’ve been better if each time she changed her octave, that it would ... read more
After coming out with such an emotional and melancholic debut album, it's easy to see SZA wanted to diversify her discography. After debuting with a dramatic story, like a Lemonade, this album serves as her Renaissance. Album for bops, head nods, and hip sways. Not so much for crying and sliding down the wall. Overall, a solid release. I enjoy the content, even if it's mostly filler.
This album is SOOO good. My biggest problem that i’m noticing is that these other reviewers ARE NOT LETTING THIS PROJECT STAND ALONE !! Im constantly seeing “Lemonade” in most of these reviews, which is understandable because it was a massive moment in beyoncés solo discography. HOWEVER, people are using Lemonade as a comparison SONICALLY, and that’s just not fair. This is beyoncés most ambitious project yet, and y’all are comparing it to an album ... read more
With harmonies tighter than headbands across the globe, FLO makes a dynamic debut with their new EP, “The Lead”.
I was so excited for this project based off the excellent rollout for the lead single, “Cardboard Box”. And honestly, they didn’t disappoint. With styles of Aaliyah, Destiny’s Child, Brandy, and 3LW! They successfully pay homage to all the greats, while adding their own spin to their music.
Based off the first 4 tracks, you might believe this ... read more
Ravyn Lenae is someone that’s had my ears to the ground since her beautiful song, “Sticky”. Her style reminds me of a mixture of great RnB singers that came before her. Such as Aaliyah (terms of style and ambiance), Brandy (terms of vocal production), and Janet Jackson (terms of vocal singing style). If i had to compare, Ravyn seems like the younger sister of FKA Twigs (Deep In The World), who went more towards neo-soul rather than dramatic and intense production.
With that ... read more
