Lupe's 2nd studio album "The Cool" carries the lyrical momentum from Food & Liquor and continues to demonstrate Lupe's prowess over the game at the time of its prevelance. The productrion/sound embodies the era Lupe comes from and displays mastery on all fronts as such. It has a lot of similarities to Food & Liquor with its top tier production, lyrical content, substance and vocal performances throughout, and I would say it does an even better job in some instances. My one ... read more
This record is everything I want out of a hip hop album. Exceptionally powerful and intricate lyricism with deep but understandable concepts, incredible vocal performances, great features and hooks that add flavor to every single song, and magnificent production. It's long but perfectly balanced with no bloat, and every song gets me thinking while bopping my head at the same time. It's the perfect blend of consciousness and sonic bliss that many rappers strive for. I can go on and on about the ... read more
The current latest LP in Eminem's discography, it stands its own in the grand scheme of his catalog. While certainly not a great album, he's obviously matured from the likes of Kamikaze, no longer so blatantly bitter about the new generation of artists, and even working with a good number of them. Speaking of this, this album has the best recent features in an Em project by far. With features from Anderson .Paak, Don Toliver, Young M.A. and Juice Wrld, they all add to their songs in some way ... read more
Going into this album I honestly expected a lot worse, because my previous listens left a very poor impression but after listening to Revival, you learn to really appreciate this album. It's still not good, but it's a significant improvement on basically every front. The fact he went from that to this in less than a year is honestly mindblowing. This album for the most part is lyrically impressive, replacing the downright awful lines prevalent throughout his previous record with some rather ... read more
This album marks a new era of Eminem's career that I think everyone would like to forget, one that permanently tainted his image as one of the most revered rappers of the 21st century. I don't have too much to say about this. It's littered with terrible lyrics, questionable features, awful production, and incohesive subject matter that makes the album seem more like a jumbled compilation of random songs, not to mention the atrocious mixing on a good chunk of them. Like any Eminem project, I do ... read more
Eminem's 7th major-label release continues his streak of consistency post-rehab, with the same top tier lyricism, musical experimentation and new approach to what Eminem is "Relapse" and onward. You could argue that this is Marshall's best display of raw rapping skill since the albums predecessor "The Marshall Mathers LP" or potentially even overall, with some of his most creative, skillful and witty rhyme schemes, flows and wordplay yet. As most of these records do, there ... read more
Eminem's 6th studio album "Recovery" demonstrates some of Marshall's greatest displays of sheer energy and lyricism since The Eminem Show, and is a clear sign of improvement and maturity on nearly all fronts from his previous record Relapse, especially when it comes to his subject matter, in which there's no shortage of when it comes to multi-faceted tracks on this album. The production ranges from decent to amazing in some tracks, with bangers such as "Cold Wind Blows", ... read more
Eminem returns from rehab for his 5th studio album, which needless to say is a dramatic improvement from his previous record, Encore. This album is notorious for containing one of Em and Dre's greatest beat catalogs, and that sentiment stands strong today. While oftentimes lyrically uncomfortable or straight up disgusting, Eminem provides a display of ability and energy similar to that of his debut projects. Overall, the music is pretty good, with its ups and downs as you would expect from an ... read more
Eminem comes in swinging with his fourth album with his usual wittiness, creativity, lyrical prowess and unmatched energy...
Unfortunately, I fucking lied. And instead of swinging it's more like a drunk flailing around trying to find the bathroom after 16 shots. This album is an hilarious, not in the "haha he's funny" way but more like the "haha what the fuck" kind of way. This album has one great song being "Like Toy Soldiers" while everything else ranges from ... read more
99 Neighbors demonstrates chemistry, versatility, and sheer skills throughout this album, dwelling on issues such as drug abuse and toxic relationships while also taking their time to really share how much fun they're having on some tracks. My main gripes with this album is a lack of direction and some iffy production choices, as well as some tracks being forgettable. Overall decent record, and as a fellow Vermont native, I'm excited to see what this promising group brings in the ... read more
Demon Days is my recent introduction to Gorillaz' music, and I am not at all disappointed. This album is fun, unique for its time, but maintains its loose concept humanity's self-destruction in a way that's mostly understandable, although it can deviate from said concept at times. The production is incredible with interesting vocals, and one of the best DOOM features I've heard. Overall great music, and I'll be sure to check out more or Gorillaz' work.

Eminem third album delivers a much more mature and introspective side of himself while remaining witty and lyrically excellent allthroughout. I don't really have much to say about this album except -- as expected from this era of Eminem -- it's very good from a musical, technical and creative standpoint.
FAVORITE TRACKS: Till I Collapse, Sing For The Moment, Without Me, Superman, Soldier, Cleanin' Out My Closet
LEAST FAVORITE TRACKS: Drips, My Dad's Gone Crazy
This album rides off the wave Eminem created with his previous album, only this time amplifying everything, and doing it better as well. This album makes for a musical-emotional rollercoaster, with extremely uncomfortable however essential moments such as Kim, honest social commentary and storytelling within tracks such as The Way I Am and Stan, but also fun yet consistently shocking tracks like Drug Ballad or The Real Slim Shady. Overall, the music is very good and there is no single track I ... read more
This album was full of personality, wittiness, character, and while uncomfortable at times in the subject matter, it's some pretty damn good music, mostly. Would recommend.
