This album used to mean a lot to me. I used to tell people it saved my life. A lot has transpired since then and the themes of guilt that permeate this album have a different flavour.
My depression came from many aspects of a difficult childhood, but one in particular being the sound of my mother being abused by her partner coming through the walls. I was 15. this is my hot take sorry, it's just a genre that so many artists have done better. its disjointed, whiney, self-centered, and weird. It's never worked for me.
I slap this on as soon as the sun comes out. It's not wholly engaging, but it has it's place in my library
