Boldy and Rome's chemistry on Hot Plate and Like Biggie Did really impressed me but it became apparent in the rest of the EP that the beats were doing most of the heavy lifting for those tracks. It's really a shame because if Boldy and Rome had any sort of ear for good instrumentals, they could be releasing some excellent stuff (as proven on Manger on McNichols)
Hot plate-87
Like biggie did -95
Tricky- 52
Only One- 77
Cheat the grind - 60
Man Hunt - 70
Wtf happened to his voice? He sounds so much more processed than all his other stuff and it really kills the fun of his sound
It's 4 minutes shorter than the Skeletrix version but it feels about 10 minutes longer. Way less interesting than his other two albums and a lot of these tracks just fall flat
Their chemistry just doesn't show up on most of these tracks, and the couple exceptions feel like flukes
Plenty of good ideas sprinkled throughout but both Kami and SosMula lack some much needed urgency in most of their verses
