Ok idk if its because im not as immersed in the dsmp fandom anymore or something and i wasnt as hyped about this ep as the last one, but this is just,, boring? i'll admit, i've been listening to a lot of hip hop, rap, rock music where the vocals *need* to be clear, which, often times, is the opposite in indie music. this is better than the last ep in music itself, but this is just. Hm. its forgettable. nothing stands out to me.
Wilbur's voice doesn't sound like, yknow, loud enough? it's ... read more

i have no idea whats happening in this song but it is HYPE i love it so sooooooo omg
among us! there's imposters!
Verse defiantly did not fit into the song but it makes it 10x better. Love the song, definitely in top 5 kevinkempt songs. Burping at the end somehow makes it better. No i don't know how to explain it.
To be honest, i expected this to be better than it was. It wasn't. I can recognize that this is "experimental", but it doesn't exactly hit. The vocals sound sort of shaky, and the beats are boring, very repetitive in an obvious way, and there are very abrupt beats (in "Science Fair", the guitar starts being played very abruptly and crazily about halfway through the song, this pattern shows throughout the whole album) and weird, sorta creepy beats that i just don't feel very ... read more
first song got me really hyped up but then it fell short. badly. pretty boring album; every song sounds practically the same.
aside from the two songs 'Basket Case' and 'When I Come Around', this is a very predictable and boring album. not that enjoyable, although i could see how people enjoy it and i could see myself listening to it with other people or something. nothing is really that catching, it just all drifts into one song.
I was about to comment on how it would have been funnier if there was 8 songs in the album but look at that there is 8 songs. peak comedy.
hm . idk. i like the japanese verses a lot, it fits with the song very nicely despite the rest of the song being majorly different from the japanese verses.
i am starting to question all the "yun head, obama loves you" in yun head's songs, but i mean, who am i to question that, its probably some inside joke or something.
the more i listen to this the more it doesn't feel like a meme rap song and more like a legit rap song and even with the silly beats near the end and the somewhat weird lyrics it feels ...real? like someone genuinely put effort into this song and wasn't making it for shits and giggles, and i really appreciate that. does get annoying if i play it as much as my other favorites though.
Off-broadway recording was by far the better version of this. Maybe it's just because i listened to the off-broadway version first, i don't really know. I can't explain my preference for the off-broadway version any better, but i can say that i am glad i got the off-broadway cd rather than this one.
Off-broadway rating (because i can't seem to find the off-broadway version): I've never honestly looked thaat closely at the plot, it was always more about the songs rather than the plot. The ... read more
good album, it's just... underwhelming? from new flesh, obviously i wasn't looking for an upbeat album but even though the songs are good, they're not memorable at all, and it just feels nice and calming to me. these are the types of songs that go in my "calm" playlist to play late at night or when doing schoolwork. these songs do have their charm to them, but its just not very memorable as an album, which, i guess, is my biggest complaint.
sort of a shorter song (which makes it underwhelming), but it's still pretty high on my list of favorite wallows singles. the best part of the song is probably the beats in the background and the overall kinda rough type of feel of the song. love it!!!
quite the people pleaser, if only i could please her!
this is such a great song and especially as a first single, first song, first everything for the band and the fact that it's the first song from Wallows just makes it... better? somehow? album art is sort of boring, i don't like how the yellow text blends in with the white background that much and how much of it is just blank space but, eh, we're not here to discuss the album art. overall one of my favorite songs and i will defend it to the ... read more
Easily one of my favorite albums, songs flow together very nicely and so many of the songs are enjoyable. This is just. So good idk what else to say honestly. If I would buy any album I would choose to buy this one.
Favorite songs: every song except Before The World Ends and all the acoustic versions.
A good album, it flows nicely together and many songs are enjoyable by themselves, although about half of the songs fall short and the beats are annoying/too repetitive, specifically Pump Me Up, I really don't like the glitching style of the beats and the back and forth of them, and it's very repetitive, half the lyrics are just the words "Pump Me Up".
Favorite songs: Will 2K, Freakin' It, Da Butta, La Fiesta, Wild Wild West (track that made me decide to listen, 96)
honestly the album is a good thing to drift off into the background while doing schoolwork/reading a book, but it's also a really good and in depth album. i'm sorry boris is probably my least favorite, but i can see the beauty in it, as it seems somewhat like a lullaby. even with its weaknesses, the strong parts make up for them easily. favorite song would probably be jubilee line or la jolla. also, took me about 10 listens until i found out vienna is a country in europe and la jolla is a city ... read more
drew me into listening to the album through "Lovefool", though the rest of the album sort of... lacks in comparison to lovefool. a lot of these songs blend together and make it not noticable that we're moving from track to track, and while sometimes i like that it just doesn't seem to work for this album for me as it just blends all into every pop/rock/indie song and becomes boring, although i can respect that sort of album when songs blending into the background is exactly what you ... read more
