While this is basically his self-titled record again, for me personally, even more songs on here stood out to me and I felt moved more consistently. Yee-fucking-haw!
Edit: 85->92
Idk why I had this at 85 first. Another fantastic single that strengthens the narrative of the rollout and feels just as passionate and genuine. I'm so fucking excited for next friday! :D XD

Harrowing, dystopian and suspenseful from start to finish.
For an Avant Metal album "The Promise of Rain" actually feels pretty cohesive and gives each passage and song enough room to develop and captivate me without drowning in chaos which loses me at some point.

Despite its very trippy, experimental approach it feels too short to leave a lasting impression on me.
Timeline-changing, monumental cross-over
Relentlessly pummeling, horrifying and cryptic. Was completely captivated and although the tracklist is a bit stumbling the kick-ass and brutal performances made this one really stand out in my still only beginning deep-dive journey into Metal.
Somewhere in between Kevin Abstract and Jean Dawson, "Junior Varsity" is a colorful, nostalgic vibe that I didn't feel needed to be anything more to be enjoyable.
