The $uicideboy$ formula hasn't been this consistent in years. Actually enjoy the fuck out of this.
What surprised me as not total garbage at first turned insufferable real fast...

Everything after "Ring Ring" remains either unnecessary or god awful and if it wasn't for that this would probably be the best album in the genre since there are so many classics on this.
So this style of Screamo/5th Wave Emo is right up my alley on paper and Febuary definitely manage to kindle my interest in the project with the first couple of tracks which are pretty, multi-phased and accompanied by awesome tortured screaming. Some of the Spoken Word passages and shifts in arrangement, velocity and volume on later tracks are reminiscent of Slint ("Kill Yourself If You Have Tinder") which is a cool influence to stumble upon.

Charli manages to deliver both excessive, self-affirming club bangers and extremely confessional and reflective tracks on "BRAT". In a way it feels like she's making herself dangerously vulnerable in this otherwise vibrant and euphoric world of stardom. While that results in a pretty chaotic tracklist I think it enhances that narrative and forms a consistent album full of high-quality songs.

Pretty much everything about this album keeps growing on me.
What an intimate, stellar, beautiful track. Didn't think a song featuring: "Funny monkey takes a piss into his own mouth, crazy" would have me on the verge of tears.
A very solid, dreamy Indie record that not only lives off the vibe it creates but also surprised me with some super memorable tracks.
This album is absolutely fantastic.
I remember randomly getting recommended "Dreamcatcher, Pt. II" on Spotify at some point and listening to it on an evening walk. I was in a pretty rough spot at the time and I vividly remember how both electrifying and entrancing the sound of it was. It really comforted me.
Now, probably 3 years or so later I finally gave the whole album a listen with that exact memory in mind and, oh boy was I not disappointed.

What a sad, bittersweet yet serene record, front to back. Very strong vibe to get lost in.
The second installment in BMTH's "POST HUMAN:" series is a decent expansion of its predecessor that shines at the same things and suffers from similar consistency issues. These are more apparent due to its longer runtime, sketch-like intermissions/interludes that disrupt the flow of the project more than enhance its narrative and a rather loosely assembled concept.
