I've never been a fan of Green Day but never hated and found their music as headache provoking like this project did. The instrumentals were uninspired and extremely repetitive. Billie Joe Armstrong's vocals are extremely washed out vocals sound like he's starting to really lose the same tone he did back in the 90's and 2000's. All I could think about while listening to this song was how much it sounded like a modern "Hotel California"(or at least at the beginning). This track shows how George is maturing out of the lo-fi sound we got on "BALLADS 1". Poppy's metal debut brings an extremely haunting and intoxicating take on, what seems to be, a washed out genre. Her "barbie dollish" voice adds an extra layer of eeriness to the project as a whole. Her crossover of metal and pop brings a new light to her name while still maintaining the same unpredictable character that is POPPY.
