This is Radiohead first album where they really show the world their true tale not and craftsmanship. This album has some of the bands best songs in their entire discogrpahy: and the proudctiona dn confidence is miles ahead of Pablo honey. I think that the popularity of creep gave them enough money and fame to put out the project they always envisioned themselves giving. The arrangements are stellar and the guitar work and chord choices are absolutely beautiful. There are a few songs in the ... read more
Very solid album with no real bad tracks the main issue is the shorter demo like songs. Like I said they don't sound bad I just feel like if joji allowed those songs to be full length they could have stood out more and made the album even better. More rap heavy album from joji than his previous which is interesting but overall a solid project.
almost indentical album to Clancy sonically, stylistically and lyrically but thats okay because I love both albums. City walls is my all time fav twenty one pilots song and I love how this album is their most rock infuses since trench. I wish the song was a bit darker like trench and more lore lyrically but still every song is great and any Paul meany project will bring it more life.
Over hated album tbh. Yeah its a poppier simple album sonically, each song is mixed great and all are bops. It also fits perfectly with the story at the time of them being forced to appeal to the masses. The main problem I have with this album is that I know Tyler and Josh are capable of so much more, and that they wasted prime years of their potential creating a COVID album. Especially since they were in the process of making a trench 2 but had to scrap it due to COVID.
Now this is what I'm talking about, every single thing I like in music is in this album. Paul meany's production brings a new vibe and such a great blend of all their genres and creates a masterpiece. The synth work is top tier, drums are crisp, and the dirty gritty bass is the key stand out. The dark atmospheric tracks create such a cool and spooky vibe which makes sense for the albums narrative. Each song sounds different but also not too different. I wish Tyler screamed more on this ... read more
unfortunately a very overrated album. While my 11 year old self at the time thought this was a great album and although there are some great songs on it, it has aged very poorly. The main thing about this album is the way its mixed with the drums creating a very dead snare sound which I'm not the biggest fan of. All the mix of producers creates a bit of sloppiness but I've heard worse. Tyler's voice is like okay I feel like he wasn't trying as hard singing on this album ... read more
Now this is the first twenty one pilots album where every song I adore. The production is simple but mjxed incredibly and Tylers vocals are arguably the best on this album out of any other album in their entire discography. The lyrical material is great and Tyler's screaming is always incredible. You can immediately tell how important Josh is to this band and how much better his drumming makes each song feel. Although I am not the biggest fan of electronic music like this and sometimes the ... read more
By far their worst album If you can even call it that. there are 4-5 genuinely good songs with great ideas such as kitchen sink, forest, anathema and clear but the production is what holds them back from being top tier. This album has the lowest lows in their entire discogrpahy with the vessel demos being a worse version of their counterpart which is bout half of the album, and then there is the trees demo.... which is by far the worst song every recorded by Tyler Joseph that makes me wanna ... read more
This is the twenty one pilots album that is by far their best lyrical wise. Tyler Joseph needs to bring back more of this poetry style rapping and lyrics. The only thing about this album I'm not the biggest fan of is Tylers vocals as they can be a little annoying around this time but there are great albums on this album as well. The production is also not very good but I will cut it some slack due to tyler self producing this album in his basement. If this album got remade with their ... read more
My second favorite album of them by far. I love how every song is unique but also has a distinct clancy sound. Great synth work and mixing as usual
