This was my first time listening to this album and it was in an airplane. Not the most comfortable and focused listen, but it was still amazing. Very explosive and hypnotizing at times. Will definitely come back to this album. Swans are Dead is as good as Soundtracks for the blind.
Haters run from me 'cause when they walk into my room this album is framed on my wall.
Edit: Thanks schizoid man!
It is a late winter evening, driving somewhere on a dark road. Driving into the darkness ahead of you. Only a bit of cement in front of you and trees that are off to the sides are lighted by the headlights of your car. You turn on Pink Moon. I haven't actually heard the encore to this album yet, but I would have to say that the first three songs (highway star, smoke on water, child in time) are better than their studio versions. That being said, everything after that I don't really like that much. The mule can be a bit shorter and strange kind of woman hasn't really clicked with me fully. It'a awesome that we can listen to these early King Crimson recordings! RIP Ian McDonald.
