I was listening to this looking out into the ocean at 3 in the morning, i cant believe its over....
so beautiful
production kinda took a hit compared to 2019 where some of the beats were insane but im happy with the end product
CTC delayed this shit a whole ass year but as an agent its so worth it its so good
fav verses were CTC, Anonymuz and Ty Wild and i really likes the shofu and kez parts, shizzy also put his best verse in a cypher
Its still insane to listen to the 2013 and 2016 versions and know we end up here, such an insane jump in rap skill and beats like it makes no sense
cant wait for part 2 ... read more
tylers found a safe space with his sound and it gets to a point where everything kinda melts together, expected way way more with the buzz i saw the album getting while i was at work.
my tyler supreme shirts are gonna brick arent they...
Lucki has kinda fallen into this pit where he makes the same album everytime, hes done this for 3 years now and I dont understand how we are still here.
Besides the odd good song, theres nothing here, same voice same flow features from artists that mostly stink and uninspired beats lead to another mediocre album, this is the 3rd time in a row this has happened (arguably 4th)
Lucki has blown up but its been way too late, his best years are years before then and hes just coasting and im done ... read more
It really is crazy that Whole Lotta Red is approaching 4 years since release and its influence is still felt, the underground has been on the rage beat whole lotta red vibe and many artists have done their own spin on this style to great success.
On release we had the great carti war, the whole lotta mid allegation post drop were everywhere but I think public opinion has mostly swayed with time. Theres obvious issues here dont get me wrong (bloated, horrific features, songs dont flow together ... read more
Bladee discog cleanup reviews (1/18)
WOD is my fav bladee project (as of right now) and its mostly because I am a sucker for that peak working on dying production of the late ‘10s, but this album combines great elements of tread and cloud rap that really creates a great atmosphere throughout, from the slower bladee singing songs to the faster songs theres a set theme and atmosphere of both sadness but also bragadociousness.
The features are also all great, yung lean on bladee projects ... read more
Absolutely insane pierre beats mostly go to waste here, but I think sharc has/had more potential than most of the sosshouse guys as the highs on this are great but oh boy the lows are LOW
There are 2 good songs here, you know which 2 they are, I know which 2 they are, so lets only listen to those 2 songs and pretend everything else never happened.
The 2 songs are very good though.
Cant believe that soulja boy checks in after he was on the PREVIOUS SONG just so he can be on the NEXT SONG like how does the based god always do it
Though not sounding anything like its predecessor, Almighty So 2 shows that Sosa is not a one trick pony and is still the one stop shop for drill music nearly 12 years after his explosion into the mainstream rap scene.
kura shows enough to where I would like to see him on some better pierre beats.
One of the albums i hold bias towards but this shit is just simply amazing.
Chief Keef would start a rap revolution and catapult drill music to public knowledge all before his 17th birthday with his breakout mixtape back from the dead. Despite the youth of both Keef (16) and producer Young Chop (18), theres a certain grim atmosphere that grabs you, from Keefs voice and tone to Chops synths its no wonder why the rap world was so enamored with the drill music movement, its a great mixtape and undoubtedly one of the most important and influential projects released to the ... read more
bladee returns to his tried and true style to great success, a return to form for him to me as someone who wasnt super crazy about anything he's put out since the fool 3 years ago.
Album suffers from a bit of bloat and honestly WOD is the better album but i wont complain too much my lil pookie is back to making real music.
Pierre comes back with his greatest assortment of beats on this one, playing it on vinyl this shit is amazing, the classic Pierre transition work is its best and a lot of the songs get its intended energy. Though the obvious issue with some songs is that Pierres bars can be really really bad at certain points (practice lmfao), but Pierre's vocal performance isn't an issue, he would probably benefit greatly from a ghost writer ala kanye. The bars bring down the score a bit for me as I know it ... read more
